    “Babe go with Cyrus.  I will be there in a minute” Tony glances at Bette for a moment and nods giving  Alexis a quick kiss and leaves Alexis scoots in the booth besides Bette “Bette you haven’t said anything since you came back from the bar.  What’s wrong” Alexis place her hand on top of

    “Babe go with Cyrus.  I will be there in a minute”

    Tony glances at Bette for a moment and nods giving  Alexis a quick kiss and leaves

    Alexis scoots in the booth besides Bette

    “Bette you haven’t said anything since you came back from the bar.  What’s wrong”

    Alexis place her hand on top of Bette’s free hand. The other occupying her drink

    “Alexis I saw her”

    “Saw who” Alexis answered puzzled

    Bette turns and gives Alexis a look and it registers causing shock to spread on her face

    “Oh fuck..Bette…What happened”

    “She hates me Alexis. She blames me for what happened” Bette says dejectedly

    “You know that’s not true”

    Bette turns and glares at her

    “You know damn well she does after what I did.  I just left her.  You should have heard the coldness in her voice”

    Alexis wraps her arm through Bette’s and moves closer

    “Bette she’s angry right now but I know if she loved you then she still loves you now”

    “She shouldn’t have loved me at all Alexis” Bette says finishing off her drink..”I’m going to get a cab and go back to the condo.  Once we leave tomorrow I can forget all about our brief encounter”

    Bette turns to Alexis

    “Thanks for being here for me”

    Alexis nods and Bette place a quick kiss on her cheek before leaving.  Alexis sighs as she watches Bette head for the exit and thinks for a moment

    “This is not going to be good” she mumbles as she heads to the dance floor to join Tony and Cyrus

    “What took you so long..Where’s Bette” Cyrus asks

    Tony moves behind Alexis dancing up against to hear her response

    “Not for me to say…I’ll let her tell you..Let’s just dance” Cyrus shrugs and the three continue dancing to the beat

    The next day on Gio’s private jet:

    With the assignment complete the team has been summoned back to New York to headquarters for debriefing.

    While sitting in their seats waiting for the jet to be fueled, Bette filled Cyrus and Tony on her encounter with Tina and the woman oddly appearing right after Tina left the bar area

    “Holy shit Bette “ Cyrus says awkwardly rubbing the back his neck not knowing what to say.

    3. I LOVE this story! So glad to see it’s back. Looking forward to reading more, and seeing how it all unfolds.

      The scene when Bette says goodbye to Tina in the hospital, just leaves me in tears.

    4. Perhaps, I do not remember correctly… but you have already change the trajectory of this story. In this story, Tina is a part of the Rocco group out to get Bette, where in the previous one, she was simply a pawn being moved around to trap Bette. She is now under the impression that Bette tried to kill her, where before, she simply deserted her in her hour of need.

      This is an interesting beginning…. can’t wait to see where this goes… Thanks for the re-write… looking forward to the continuation of this story…..
