    Tony sighed and shook his head before bringing his finger up to tap gently in his chin in thought “I can’t imagine the shock of seeing her again. I remember standing with you on the balcony that night when you came back from the hospital. It almost broke you Bette. I hated seeing you like

    Bette nods as Alexis pats Tony’s leg

    Tony had been the only member of the organization besides Gio that even knew what Tina looked like.  Cyrus and Alexis joined after Gio moved the headquarters to New York so those two were the only ones she trusted at the time.

    “I never thought I would see her again. I figured what are the chances that we would show up at the same club at the same time in a city with millions of people and besides Tina never was a club goer. She wasn’t into that and there she was with a girlfriend no less” and just her saying the word stabbed her own heart.

    The cabin went silent except for Tony steadily tapping his finger on his chin still in thought

    Bette knew Tony long enough to know the wheels were turning in his mind. Tony was second in command of The Fraction. The ex Mafia turned hired trained assassin organization made up the finest sniper, hacker intelligence, and surveillance experts in the world. He,along with Gio, broke away from the LA based Donatello Mafia crime family in 2012 and formed The Fraction exclusively to bring down individuals the US government wanted disposed of. They gave Bette a purpose after she left Tina. They saved her from herself and they were her family. She was grateful for them .

    “What is it Tony” Bette asks as the captain’s voice blared through the speakers to prepare for departure

    “That woman you said approached you right after”

    “Yeah?” Bette responded curiously

    “You said she had red hair?”

    Alexis folded her arms and turned and glared at Tony

    “Why are you asking about this woman”

    Cyrus chuckles

    “The Green Monster has risen.  Watch out Tony she’s about to unsheath her claws”

    Alexis says nothing but continues to glare at Tony.

    “I’m asking because we know Rocco is still at large after our botched assassination attempt in San Francisco after we located him two years ago.  You know we confirmed he was shot..”

    3. I LOVE this story! So glad to see it’s back. Looking forward to reading more, and seeing how it all unfolds.

      The scene when Bette says goodbye to Tina in the hospital, just leaves me in tears.

    4. Perhaps, I do not remember correctly… but you have already change the trajectory of this story. In this story, Tina is a part of the Rocco group out to get Bette, where in the previous one, she was simply a pawn being moved around to trap Bette. She is now under the impression that Bette tried to kill her, where before, she simply deserted her in her hour of need.

      This is an interesting beginning…. can’t wait to see where this goes… Thanks for the re-write… looking forward to the continuation of this story…..
