I Will Not Let You Fall
–You need to leave the house asap.–
”I can’t fucking believe this,” Tina muttered, shaking her head in contempt. She redialed her mother.
”Yes?” Amy answered after several rings.
”Are you kidding me?!” Tina hissed out.
”Wha–”
”Do you have nothing to do other than sending me messages from an unknown number? Real mature, mom.”
Amy paused for a moment. ”I have NO idea what you are talking about.”
Tina tensed immediately after hearing the firmness in her mother’s voice, which meant her mother indeed was clueless about was she was saying. Her eyes began to widen progressively and her heart rate rose like a rocket as she looked around the area as if expecting to see someone.
That’s when the phone chirped, notifying her of a different text message.
–Do not panic. Everything is going to be fine if you leave the house right now.–
Her hand covered her mouth, shock creeping in at the edges of her consciousness.
”Oh my God…” she whispered in complete dismay.
”Tina? What’s going on?!” cried Amy, who was still on the line.
”Mom, I’ll call you back,” the blonde said rapidly and ended the call.
She strode toward Bette, feeling extremely unsafe at the moment. The ringing of her phone stopped her dead in her tracks. Now another unknown number was calling her. Tina felt as agitation was striking her to the marrow as she accepted the incoming call.
”Who is this?” she said, her voice quivering.
”You need to listen very carefully,” the digitally altered, robot-like voice that sounded sinister to Tina’s ears spoke up.”This is a warning. You are not safe. Leave the house as soon as possible and do not wake Bette under any circumstances.”
”Who the hell is that?!” Tina cried.
Bette moved a bit and her eyes opened, there was a groggy, disoriented look to them. She gazed around, blinking, before closing her eyes tight again and falling back asleep.
”What do you want from me?” the blonde whimpered quietly into the phone.
”I am a trustworthy person. I do not wish you or Bette any harm. That is why I’m asking you to leave the house. Do what I say and nobody will be hurt. Your time starts now.” Then the call went disconnected.

Hi Valerie:
OH, MY GOD, this chapter is amazing, and very hard for me, I needed a cup of tea and cookies to read it, during my lunch break in my job; you made it so real, like watching the movie.
I think that finally, Bette touched bottom I hope she won’t fell farther, and she could start changing things, she needs to think in a wisdomly way; Arnodelo is looking for her, and her only choice is to make a deal with the prosecutor and give away Armodelo and his cartel and gang; she has some money she needs a very good attorney; she has to start thinking about a new begining with Tina, after she pays her bill to society (which I hope will be low, with the help of a lawyer) to the system; anyway, the people she killed were criminal, and she didn’t kill the girl, Miranda, that was killed by Dominic and Arnodelo.
Wow, Valerie, the story is very good, I hope the end would be very good also.
Thank you so much for the wonderful and spine-chilling chapter.
I’ll be anxiously waiting for the next one, pps.

Wow! Thank you for an amazing yet very tearful (for me) chapter! I was hoping beyond hope that Bette was an undercover cop but it doesn’t look like it! Anxiously awaiting for next chapter! By the way you are a great writer!
That was a great ride. Thanks
Hope, Tasha is alive – not to add to all other charges against Bette. Shane is a great friend indeed. And Tina is a bit of a disappointment to me. Maybe she is just too young to fight for her love. So its a big question, who will not let fall whom…
Thanks for the great story! That’s definitely not the end yet, is it?
