Bette hadn’t noticed, her attention focused solely on Tina. When her eyes began to roam, she tore them away to avoid further temptation. She knew she would only be asking for trouble if she ventured down that path. Tina was off limits. She would remind herself everyday if necessary.

”So have you known Tina long?” She asked as she looked to the girls at her side, ”I think it’s crazy how we’ve never met. Tina has the worst manners”

Nadia laughed at the tease and earned another look from her friend, ”Tell me about it. I’m Nadia, her roommate and this is Carmen”

Bette smiled at the wave she received from the Latina and nodded her head in greeting, ”I’m Bette”

”We know” Nadia piped up again with a little too much enthusiasm.

Carmen was at a loss for what to say to break the now awkward silence. She knew her best friend had once harbored a crush on Bette since the first day they had seen the band play but the brunette had thought that was over and done with. Obviously she had been mistaken.

”Okay” Tina blessedly broke the silence and everyone turned to face the sisters, ”Everyone ready?”

”Nice to see you too, T” Bette teased as she flashed her best smile.

The blonde couldn’t help but blush, ”Hi, Bette”

Alice watched the exchange between Bette and Tina as her eyes darted back and forth between the two. She saw the blush on Tina’s cheeks and cleared her throat before her little sister could be affected further by her charming best friend.

”Time to go” She held a hand out towards Tina and waved her fingers, ”Give me the keys”

”What?” Tina laughed incredulously as her big sister waved her fingers again, ”No, its my car”

”Actually, it’s mom’s car so hand them over. I’m driving”

Tina crossed her arms over her chest, ”Not a chance. No one told you to break your car”

Alice felt the little bit of patience she possessed slipping away, ”I’m not kidding around, Tina. You drive like a granny and I have a gig in twenty minutes. We’ll never make it”

Tina rolled her eyes, ”Well at least I’ll get us there in one piece. You drive like a maniac”
