”Damn” Was all she managed to say, the word nothing more than a breathless whisper.

Alice looked over her shoulder and saw her love struck friend, pursing her lips in annoyance as she leaned back and punched the dazed brunette on the arm.

”That’s my sister, you asshole”

The sting barely registered with the brunette but the blow was enough to bring her back to her senses, making her blink and finally tear her eyes away.

Two other girls jumped out of Tina’s car and Bette felt as though she had seen them before but couldn’t place where. They were both beautiful and were dressed just as scantily clad as Tina but neither had caused Bette’s heart to skip a beat. Not the way Tina had.

”Hey guys” Tina waved awkwardly with a smile, gauging the look on her big sister’s face. Alice was taking in her outfit as well as Carmen and Nadia’s and Tina knew that her big sister was piecing things together. It was only a matter of time before-

”Where were you going?”

Tina shrugged and crossed her arms over her chest, seeing no point in denying anything. ”Well since you weren’t going to take me to The Planet, I found two people who would”

Alice rolled her eyes, ”Oh real nice, Tina. This is why I’m always getting into shit with mom and dad. You never do what you’re told and I wind up getting in trouble for it”

Now Tina was the one to roll her eyes, ”Please, this is hardly the same situation. Besides, you haven’t gotten into trouble with them in years”

Alice pursed her lips, ”That’s beside the point”

”That is the point!”

Bette raised her eyebrows and pressed her lips together as she backed away from the escalating argument. She knew both Alice and Tina well enough to know it was best to stay away before they included her in their arguments.

”I’d stay here and ride out the storm if I were you two” Bette warned Carmen and Nadia as she stood beside them, her eyes never leaving Tina and Alice. Their argument somehow drifted into one about who was at fault for the death of their childhood hamster.

”Thanks for the advice” Nadia eagerly piped up, earning a look from her best friend. One she ignored.
