”What?” Carmen squealed excitedly as she sat up, ”Why didn’t you say anything? And why are you not getting dressed right now?”

”Because” Tina’s cheeks heated another degree, ”She didn’t exactly invite me out. I just .. I just found out where she would be”

”What, did you spy on her phone or something?” Carmen snorted as she glanced down at an eye catching picture of her magazine, freezing when Tina didn’t respond to her question. Her eyes widened as she looked up at her friend, ”Oh God. You spied on her phone?!”

Tina’s eyes also widened as she abruptly sat up to face her friend, ”What? No! Well, sort of” Carmen’s eyes grew even wider and Tina was quick to clarify despite the mortification coursing through her. Everything was coming out wrong, ”I spied on her while she was on her phone. I .. eavesdropped”

”Because that’s so much better” Nadia rolled her eyes as she walked out of the bathroom, rubbing lotion on her arms. She had been listening to the entire conversation.

Carmen rolled her own eyes and ignored her best friend knowing that the blonde had done much worse. She looked to a suddenly insecure Tina and wanted to reassure her, ”Don’t listen to her. We’ve all done something a little crazy for someone we like”

Tina visibly relaxed, thankful for Carmen, and smiled.

”Okay, so my second question remains” Carmen continued, ”Why aren’t you dressed? Invite or not, I’m sure Brenda would love to see you again”

Tina had hoped so, ”It’s a twenty-one and over place. Plus, I don’t have a car to get there”

Carmen nodded, ”Well the age thing can be easily handled. Nadia has a spare ID somewhere that you can use. We’ll figure out the car situation. Call a cab if we have to”

Tina’s eyes widened, ”We? But you guys already have plans. I don’t want to get in the way”

Carmen shrugged a simple shoulder, ”Maybe we can do both. I’m sure Nadia won’t mind, right Nad?”

The blonde shook her head, ”Not at all. Carm and I are the best wingmen you could ever hope to have at your side”

Tina wanted to scream with excitement, her friends were the best.

”Well go get dressed” Carmen laughed when Tina remained rooted in place, pushing her friend toward the bedroom. ”Where is this place anyway?”
