Bette shook her head and laughed “Ok I’ll give you the shortened version.  I have been dancing since I was 3 years old, I have studied martial arts since I was 5 and won several competitions but stopped a few years ago to focus on my dancing full time.  I went to the Juilliard on a full dance scholarship .  And during that time I was at Juilliard I also danced in the Broadway play La Rouge filling in for one of the regular dancers for a few months until they came back.  They asked me to stay on but Juilliard is demanding and I wanted to finish my degree” Bette finished and Tina just stared at her in amazement

“Wow Bette. I’m in awe here”

Bette scoffs “Please.  There shouldn’t be any reason for you to be in awe of me.  I mean look at you.  I’m in awe of you”

Tina brushed a strand of hair out of her face and smiled “Well we can be in awe of each other.  You fascinate me.  Juilliard? And martial arts? That’s hot”

Bette chuckled “Not as hot as you owning the stage” she said genuinely which caused a slight blush to appear across Tina’s cheeks “And you are great dancer in itself and you write your own songs.  So if anything you fascinate me. I’d love to be where you are at right now”

“Bette I know it seems I have everything going for me and it’s all glamorous. But I do it because I love it and the money is great but it doesn’t equate to happiness. In fact with my winnings from Solo Singer I bought my Mom and Dad a new house.  They had given up so much for me for me to pursue my dream I wanted to give back.  And I bought my sister a new car since she was going off to college and my parents wouldn’t have to drive her 5 hours away.  I’m glad I am able to give back to them”

And it was then that Bette had her answer to her earlier thought.  Tina would never lose her humility or forget what brought her to this moment and it made her crush just a little bit harder on the beautiful singer.
