That afternoon, Tina and Bette went to watch a movie, but the brunette was distracted; later in Tina’s bedroom, the blonde got concerned about her girlfriend’s sulkiness.
Tina: “baby…, is there something wrong?”
Bette: “no…, well, it’s a family’s thing…”
Tina: “tell me…, what happened?”
Bette: “mom is calling every day…, about Thanksgiving holiday…”
Tina: “does she want you to pass the holidays with them?”
Bette: “yes, she does…”
Tina: “and what do you want?”
Bette: “I don’t want to go there and fight with my father; he makes me feel that I’m a bad girl, for not following the family tradition”
Tina: “family tradition…? You told me your mom is a science teacher”
Bette: “yup…, but the rest of them are musicians…”
Tina: “you don’t like music…?”
Bette: “I do, very much…, but I like science more…, much more, and daddy never forgave me for that…, and to my mom for supporting me”
Tina: “your daddy needs to understand you’ve made your decision…”
Bette: “he’ll never understand…, there is something else Tina, mom wants to meet you…”
Tina: “meet me…?”
Bette: “Kit talked to her about you…, you impressed my sis very well…, now mom asked me to take you there to pass Thanksgiving with us and also asked me to invite your mother…”
Tina: “wow…, baby…, now I’m scared…”
Bette: “why…?”
Tina: “what if your mom doesn’t like me?”
Bette: “Kit likes you, mom will be easier?”
Tina: “…I don’t know…, let me ask mom”
Mani had already committed to go to her cousin’s house and pass those days with her family, so she couldn’t accompany the girls to Philadelphia, but she prepared some food for Tina to take to her girlfriend’s parents; the length of the ride from Boston to Philadelphia is going to be around 6 hours, Mani suggested to use one of her cars to the ride, but Bette didn’t want her future mother in law to think she was interested in her possessions, so she assured the lady, that her car was in a good shape, something that she will regret a little that same day.
They left Boston around noon, after having lunch in Tina’s house; Mani gave them some ice boxes with food, specially packaged to last several hours. They left Boston using the Massachusetts Turnpike, passing Connecticut, crossing New York and New Jersey to enter to Pennsylvania through Bridesburg at 7:30 pm, and it was there that the car broke down, they were riding in Delaware Expressway when the engine emitted a clacking noise, the temperature gauge rose quickly, and they had to exit the highway to check the engine.

Yup, you’re totally right, I was thinking to write more of the wedding, too, I even have partially written the wedding vows, but it was going to be too long and I needed to reach the scene of Tasha and Alice; besides sometimes I put much attention to some general comments and PMs, and I didn’t want to have a rating R or 17, this time.
But “the night is young” and who knows what will happen in the next chapters that will have the wedding night in the beginning.
For my next wedding (I mean TIBETTE’s wedding) I’ll write more in detail.

My lovely wife allowed me to read your update!
I am so glad Bette &Tina are married and that Tina’s mom was there. But i am still a little worried how Tina is going to react when she finds out Bette was in contact with Louise. She will be pissed of.
Alice & Tasha, hmm, i loved them together in the L Word. But i think Tasha gets her heart broken when Alice &Dana will be reunited.
Mr. Kennard get what he deserve and i hope this will be only the beginning.
