Side Effects Chapter 11 – WEDDING TIME

Bette: “no, on the contrary, he was very nice to her and of course a jerk with me as usual”
Marcus: “he has changed, Bette, at least with respect to you, he misses you and regrets being angry with you”
Bette: “well, so far, he doesn’t show it”
In her room, Bette observed things have changed a little, her old bed has been taken to pieces and a bigger one was in its place, Bette recognized the old frame from her parents’ bed.
Bette: “they have a new bed?”
Marcus: “yes, and mom insisted you’ll need a bigger one (smiling suggestively) to be more comfortable with Tina”
Bette: (nudging her brother with her elbow) “shut up Marcus”
Marcus: “come on, after all, you are the first one to bring your love partner to pass overnight here”
Tina: (listening to the conversation) “oh my God…, is that bad?”
Marcus: “nooo…, on the contrary, it’s good for Kit and for me, they took the relationship between you two very well”
After washing and changing clothes Bette and Tina came to the living room, where Melvin and Marcus were filling some glasses with warm cider, good for the cold November; Kit, has just arrived and was in the kitchen with Maxine, but hearing the girls talk, came to greet her sister and Tina; a few minutes later Maxine called them to sit at the table for late dinner, Bette and Tina went to the kitchen to help her with the plates.
Maxine: “oh thank you, girls, Tina, I hope you don’t mind, we are serving half of the tamales, Melvin like them”
Tina: “not at all Mrs. Porter, my mom made them for you”
Maxine: “thank you, Tina, give her my regards and thanks, I know she had other commitment to attend, do you think you two could come for Christmas?”
Bette: “mom, you didn’t even ask me”
Maxine: “but you and Tina will come, right?”
Tina: “I’ll ask my mom, thank you, Mrs. Porter”
Maxine: “Tina, please call me Maxine”
The dinner was entertained for Tina, asking questions about Melvin’s music and this one was happy to tell his stories; after dinner, Bette and Tina went to their bedroom, the brunette was unease.
Tina: “what’s wrong baby?”

Yup, you’re totally right, I was thinking to write more of the wedding, too, I even have partially written the wedding vows, but it was going to be too long and I needed to reach the scene of Tasha and Alice; besides sometimes I put much attention to some general comments and PMs, and I didn’t want to have a rating R or 17, this time.
But “the night is young” and who knows what will happen in the next chapters that will have the wedding night in the beginning.
For my next wedding (I mean TIBETTE’s wedding) I’ll write more in detail.

My lovely wife allowed me to read your update!
I am so glad Bette &Tina are married and that Tina’s mom was there. But i am still a little worried how Tina is going to react when she finds out Bette was in contact with Louise. She will be pissed of.
Alice & Tasha, hmm, i loved them together in the L Word. But i think Tasha gets her heart broken when Alice &Dana will be reunited.
Mr. Kennard get what he deserve and i hope this will be only the beginning.
