It takes me ten minutes to get changed, slap on some make up and go and see how much of my best scotch Alice is downing like Pepsi. She is sitting with her feet up eating nuts by throwing then in the air and catching them in her open mouth
“Alice – make sure you do that tonight for the biggest contributor to the party’s funds “
“You think it will be a success ?”
“Without a doubt “
“Will you stop encouraging her Bette ?“
“Come on Kit – Alice is almost house trained – she will be fine “
I pour myself a drink and sit down
“Okay Bette – about tonight – I have spoken to Shane, CJ, JJ and Alice- we will all make sure that Holly doesn’t get near you “
“That might not be as easy as it sounds “ I point out “ She’s cunning – look how she got passed my detail the last time “
“Yes – but that was a one off – that is not going to happen again. We are all aware of what she has planned for you and we are going to make sure that she doesn’t get close to you.”
“If she does decide to come out and say that the two of you had an affair back in the day how do you feel about that ?” Alice asks

Thanks for the update – really appreciate it. Have a great vacation and enjoy your self totally – don’t even think about writing. But when you return to the Lwing please please please have Bette show this woman the door fast.
I can’t wait to see what happens when Holly arrives. Even with all the protection Bette has I’m concerned that she will somehow get to Bette. I just hope Bette is prepared to put her in her place…

Hey AllyE, Many thanks for another fabulous chapter of this political drama.I love how you have kept it true to the characters and yet have created this very different world for them all to inhibit.I love these long and interesting conversation between all the gang so it was great to have Bette, Kit and Alice sort through some of the whole Holly debacle.More please.Thank you so much for this awesome adventure.Your Loyal Fan and Friend.
