“Do you think that she will be expecting to get to you as easily as she did the last time ?”
Kit asks
“Hard to know – she’s a damn actress – she can get away with the most huge lies just because of that. She convinced my detail that I wanted to see her “
“You want us to have a word with them to make sure they don’t fall for the same act ?” Shane asks
“CJ has already covered that “
“So – she’s got no chance – you have your real detail keeping an eye out for her top try and out flank them and there is the six of us who are not going to let her come near you. Do you think its relevant that the First Lady just happens to be out of the country ?” Alice asks
“Of course it is “ Kit says with a snort “The women is devious “
“Well yes she is devious Kit but I don’t think Tina being in the country would make a difference. She’s been trying to get to me through the Foundation “
“How ?”
“She’s made a secret donation to the fund – secret as in we know who it came from but she hasn’t announced it. The amount would usually be enough to get an invite to some Peabody-Porter Foundation function – you know how these things work. “
“What are you going to do ?”
“Not my call – the Foundation is the baby of my wife and her current Chief of Staff”
“Speaking of the First Lady “ Kit says
“Yes ?”
“Are you going to tell her about this ?”
“Of course I can – I can’t ring her at the moment because she is 5 hours ahead and they are at some function held in her honour by Save the Children Fund. But I am expected to speak to her tomorrow and I will tell her . You really think I am going to risk Tina finding out second hand about this ? I survived the last incident by being totally honest with her – that’s the basis for our marriage and Tina trusts me and I wouldn’t give her a reason NOT to “

Thanks for the update – really appreciate it. Have a great vacation and enjoy your self totally – don’t even think about writing. But when you return to the Lwing please please please have Bette show this woman the door fast.
I can’t wait to see what happens when Holly arrives. Even with all the protection Bette has I’m concerned that she will somehow get to Bette. I just hope Bette is prepared to put her in her place…
