My wife sighed.
“Fine, but tell me if anything’s wrong, alright? How’s your morning sickness going on?”
“Perfect, not a tiny bit of discomfort,” I smiled. “As long as mama B behaves well.”
“Hey!” Bette protested. “I made you breakfast! How could you say that in front of our child?”
I raised my eyebrow, how could I know her so well?. “And what about the kitchen?”
“Well…” My wife pouts again, how cute.
I raised my second eyebrow, Bette picked up the spoon on the tray and played with it as if she is suddenly interested in it.
“I did burn up a few eggs.” She mumbled.
“Hmm…” I shrugged. “That’s better than burning up my kitchen.”
“Yeah…no need to worry, baby, the kitchen is perfectly fine…well, we’ll need to buy a new pan…but I promise, I promise I’ll buy a better one…”
A kiss shushed my wife, my woman’s eyes blinked a few times, a moan couldn’t help but escaped her mouth.
“If you keep doing this, I don’t think I can finish my breakfast.”
Hearing this, Bette simply wrapped my waist and pulled me closer to her, her lips pressed on mine without even asking.
“That can be arranged…”
I smirked. “Bette Porter Kennard, are you thinking about the dirty things again? Do remember that your son will be awake any minutes?”
“Can’t help it, I love my wife.” Bette shrugs.
“Baby…” Carefully I pushed the tray away in order not to let the milk spill out, I looked at her with questioning eyes. “Don’t you forget what day is today?”
“Let me see…the laundry day?”
“Noah’s teacher’s going to visit?”
“That is next week.”
“You forgot, hadn’t you?”
“Wha…Of course, I didn’t forget! I just couldn’t remember…I totally remember that today is the—”
“The ultrasound day,” I smirked and helped her.
“The ultrasound day! Yes! Wait, that is today…?”
“Uh-huh, it is today,” I smiled. “I’ve already checked the appointment with Doctor Wilson, she said I could be there anytime I’m available, and after that, we will know the gender.”
Bette leaned her back on to the bed, her hand rubbed her forehead.
“Wow…” She shook her head. “I’m going to be a mother.”
“You are already a mother.” I reminded her.
