Bette and Tina joined Sam, and Sally at their table for dinner where Tim Haspel and Niki Stevens the actor and actress who starred in the movie playing the lead characters Jim and Jessie were already seated with their significant others. Tim’s girlfriend Julie and Niki’s husband Greg had both flown to Vancouver that afternoon for the celebration. Since neither Bette, Julie nor Greg were in the movie business they enjoyed a very animated conversation about some of the mishaps that happened during filming including the nude scene where it was discovered that Tim had an Elmo tattoo on his ass. Bette couldn’t help but ask between all the laughter “What grown man has Elmo tattooed on his ass?”
Tim admitted he had no recollection of how he’d ended up with a tattoo much less one of Elmo on his ass, because he always prided himself on taking special care of his body since he was an actor. The only thing he could say for sure was that it happened on a drunken binge weekend with his fraternity brothers and had something to do with a dare. He didn’t even know that he’d gotten a tattoo until he sobered up two days later and while taking a shower felt stinging on his butt cheek. He looked at his backside with a mirror but couldn’t tell what it was except it looked bruised and hurt like hell.
He put a towel around his waist and walked into the living room where three other guys were sprawled out on the sofa and love seat. He asked them what the hell had they gotten into and it was then that they told him that he’d taken them up on a dare which ended with him getting a tattoo of their choosing in a location of their choosing, but didn’t give him any further details.
He took a week off from school and hung around his apartment wearing just a t-shirt and G-string underwear with a towel wrapped around his waist until it healed well enough for him to put on clothes and sit down. He’d been too embarrassed to ever have it removed so he lived with it and his girlfriend didn’t seem to mind.
