    “Right, right. So 92 by 7.” Bette recalled. “So 7pm until we went to sleep?” “Probably about another 20?” Tina offered, her lips quirked upwards. Teasing Bette again. “I see I need to kiss you more my love.” Bette grinned. “I think you are waayyy low again babe.” “Oh, I would be up for more

    “Right, right. So 92 by 7.” Bette recalled. “So 7pm until we went to sleep?”

    “Probably about another 20?” Tina offered, her lips quirked upwards. Teasing Bette again.

    “I see I need to kiss you more my love.” Bette grinned. “I think you are waayyy low again babe.”

    “Oh, I would be up for more kisses if you’re offering.” Tina wiggled her eyebrows.

    “I’m sure you would T.” Bette placed a quick kiss on her wife’s lips. “So how about 30?”

    “Well, why 30 and not 35 or 40?”

    “Well, let’s actually count.”

    “Okay.” Tina sits forward just a little in her seat. “Do a stick count babe.”

    “K. Ready?”

    “Let’s see.” Tina prepares to count off on her fingers. “Angie left and we kissed at the door. That’s one. Then we kissed what, 4 times in the kitchen when we were cleaning up from dinner.”

    “Okay, that’s 5.”

    “Oh, I gave you a reward peek on the lips when you put the platters on the top shelf.”

    “Six.”

    “Then you ravished me against the counter after I loaded the dishwasher.” Tina laughed. “Think that was another 5 or so.”

    “Let’s just say 5.” Bette smirked. “So now that’s 11.”

    “And then we had a sweet kiss when you poured the wine.”

    “And we traded some too.”

    “Yeah, so 6 more?”

    “So 18.”

    “And in the living room when I sat down you kissed me on the cheek.”

    “And I kissed you on the nose.”

    “Okay B. we’re up to 20.”Tina counted. “I picked the movie we were going to watch and you gave me a kiss on the cheek.”

    “21.”

    “Then I settled in your arms to watch the show and you kissed my head, my neck and my ear.”

    “25.” Bette marks another stroke on her chart. “Then you kissed my cheek and my hand.”

    “27 B.”

    “Got it.”

    “Then you got that phone call from Kit and we shared a kiss when you were done with the call.”

    “And you went to the bathroom and I kissed you when you came back.”

    “29 Porter.”

    “You dozed off in the middle of the movie and I kissed her hair.”

    “Sorry babe, but I was nice and cozy and warm and safe in your arms.”

        This story actually stemmed from a scene I was going to include in another short story. This was marked to be just a paragraph in that story & then I thought – ‘this could be more than just a couple of sentences’.
        So I flushed it out more & tried to give it a light, funny side.
