The Triangle of Love – Chapter 9

Alice slightly nodded her head, feeling the pain shoot through her legs as the crushed door was cut by the firemen. It took around 20 minutes to get Alice out of the wreck and into the back of the ambulance.

While Alice was on her way to the hospital, Shane decided she needed to call Dana. Dana picked up straight away, hoping it was Alice.

    Shane: Dana? Dana, its Shane.

    Dana: Oh hey.

Shane: Dana, you have to get to the hospital, right now.

Dana: Why? Are you okay? What’s wrong?

Shane: It’s not me. Dane, its Alice… she’s been in an accident.

    Dana: I’ll be right there.

Dana ended the call and was out of the house not 5 minutes later. She was sure she’d get many speed tickets, but she didn’t care as all she wanted to do was get to Alice. Was this her fault? She was instantly regretting telling Alice how she felt. She couldn’t stop thinking this was all her fault. When she got there she quickly parked her car, not caring that she was parked over 2 spaces and ran into the hospital. She immediately went to the reception and asked about Alice. She was told to wait in the waiting room, where she found Shane. As soon as Shane saw her, they ran to each other and met with a comforting hug. Dana whispered into Shane’s ear, with tears streaming down her cheeks.

    Dana: It’s all my fault.

Shane pulled away from the hug and guided to the two corner seats in the waiting room. There wasn’t anyone else in there, so they could talk in private as long as they were quiet.

Shane: Dane, no its not. Don’t think like that.

Dana: Shane, it is. I told her how I felt and she ran out. I should never have told her. I knew she wouldn’t feel the same way.

Shane: Dana, I didn’t want to tell you this as I wanted Alice to, but she does feel the same way.

Dana: What are you talking about?

Shane: She told me. The other day at The Planet, she told me she thinks she likes you. And when I say like, I mean like like. Dane, you know Alice. She probably got scared and that’s why she ran out, but right now we need to be here for her. She means so much to both of us, all of us and I know we couldn’t stand to lose her. We need to be strong for her.

    1. I think Alice is blocking her mind because of her feelings, it is involuntary, but it is happening, poor Dana she doesn’t understand. Nice chapter, thanks again and I’ll be waiting for the update.
