THE VAMPIRE AND THE SLAYER- Chapter 6: THE PYTHONESS

Tasha, on her side, took a bottle with a transparent colorless liquid and spread it around the tents, starting with Bette and Tina’s tepee.

After pouring the protective liquid around the tents, the African American returned to the center of the pentagram, where Louise already has added more ingredients to the boiling content in the cauldron.

    Louise: “it’s almost ready.”

Tasha: “fine, I’ll prepare the instruments and weapons.

The African American took off the box a series of silvery statuettes lining them up on the pentagram’s tips and edges.

Louise’s concoction was also ready. She and Tasha carried the cauldron until the drawing of the dark planet and poured part of the liquid there.

A chilling screech was heard, and the critter grew another foot and changed. Evil has awakened; Marina took an opened long chain of feathers, they have to contain the critter, but this one kept growing.

Holding a long silver spear, Tasha walked toward the creature. Marina and Louise chanted words in an unknown language, their voices rising, to the point that all living and dead things could hear…, Well, maybe even Bette and Tina.

The critter grew again reaching almost 7 feet. Its body changed into what could be described as a mass of flesh on fire. Tasha threw the spear that embedded itself in the center of the body.

The amorphous mass ran toward Tasha, who kept chanting. Holding a long silvery chain with feathers, Louise and Marina wrapped the big rock with it, weakening the red light beams, which stopped shining.

Marina: “no more are coming for now.”

But Tasha was still battling the critter, now 10 feet tall.

    Louise: “what should we do?”

Marina: “nothing, it’s already mortally wounded, the more it grows the weaker it becomes.”

    Louise: “it’ll attack Tasha.”

Marina: “maybe, but we can do nothing…, hey, look at the statuettes on the floor, the critter can’t touch them, and Tasha is in the middle.”

Louise: “that thing can’t touch Tasha.”

While the first battle is decided outside, in Bette’s tent, Tina was desperately trying to revive her girlfriend. Then, suddenly something happened.

As Louise and Marina were wrapping the tall rock to avoid the arrival of other evil critters, Bette was returning to normal, though very weak.

    1. Alice… Alice…. no one promised to make you human again. They purposed that they would make your life better – stronger, and abilities to escape some of the problems of being a vampire… but they never suggested that they could cure you… so as Phyllis say – take the offer or leave it.. Sounds like an improvement of your current life to me. So I’d go with the flow and accept this ritual….

Thanks for the update… look forward to more.
