    Helena – Who is the model?

    Bette – I don’t paint and tell.

    She smirks.

    Bette – I’ll tell the other interested party about your offer.

    Helena – I will need you to ship it to France. My assistant will call the gallery with the address and payment arrangements.

    Bette – I believe we already have the address. Your mother bought one of our paintings last year and had us ship it to Paris.

    Helena – This is a new flat I just purchased before coming to the US. I cannot stand Mother’s parties in Paris!

    Bette – Ahh … And how is Peggy? I haven’t seen her in a while.

    Helena – Traveling as usual! Mother does not seem to stop in one place for more than a month at a time.

    Bette – Please send her my regards.

    Helena – You may see her soon. She is coming to the US next week.

    Bette – I hope that she will visit San Francisco.

    Helena purses her lips with controlled irritation.  

    Helena – I am sure she will … since I am here!

    She sighs and turns to the gallery owner with inviting eyes.

    Helena – Well … how about we celebrate the purchase, Bette?

    The gallery owner raises an eyebrow.

    Bette – What do you have in mind?

    The English woman smiles sensually.

    Helena – Dinner tonight … in my suite.

    Bette – Are you giving another one of your parties?

    Helena – No, just a private dinner … since you left so early from my last party.

    Bette chuckles.

    Bette – I didn’t realize that you noticed. You seemed very busy when I left.

    Helena – You can never go unnoticed, Bette.

    They stare at each other with half smiles on their faces, none willing to be the first to look away.

    Helena – So, what do you say about the dinner?

    Bette – I’ll have to pass. My girlfriend is waiting for me at home.

      Tina has to learn a lot and who better than Alice can give her a quick lesson about The L Word, but if i was Bette she should hurry back and learn Tina herself about everything.

      We know how Alice can be.

      Thank you for the post!! I was impatiently waiting as always. I’d personally love to see bette surprise tina with a return visit to the set. I imagine they’d still be kept a secret so it would be interesting to see what those two get up to!

    7. May not be an easy transition for Tina. And wondering would Bette have turned down Helena if Tina wasn’t at home waiting.. I sure hope she would have restained..I have a feeling with their to lifes, they will be apart alot and need that trust. Which looks to be hard for Tina just from the conversation with Alice the wheels are turning. And Bette did not tell Tina that Helena wanted dinner in her room..more than a filtration, it was more of an imply. Great chapter.. im sure they will work this all out . Thank you
