    Kit – You have plenty of time!

    She opens the front door and they walk out.

    Ranch house dining room, evening: Tina and Kit are having dinner and talking in the dining room while Maria serves them.

    Kit – How did you get into movie production, Tina?

    She takes a bite of her stake.

    Tina – Well, I was a writer first, Kit. After the success of a couple of Indie movies I wrote, I decided to start a small production company with a friend and produce our own scripts. We have the financial backing of a larger production company for this movie.

    She takes a sip of her wine.

    Kit – Very impressive, Tina!

    Tina – Thanks! It’s my biggest production so far but still a relatively small one compared to other Hollywood movies.

    She takes a bite of her food.

    Kit – I lived in Hollywood for a while. Got myself lost in that world!

    Tina – Yeah … it’s not easy to navigate that world. Too many people rejecting you … and too many distractions.

    Kit – Dangerous distractions that I once fell for! Had it not been for Daddy and Bette, I’m not sure I’d be here today …

    The blonde nods.

    Tina – I’m glad that you got out.

    Kit – Me too!

    She drinks her water.

    Tina – I may do the same one day …

    Kit – You should!

    Tina – Do you miss your career?

    She takes a bite of her food.

    Kit – Sometimes, yes. But I have other dreams now! The reason I agreed with the movie was to finance my dream of creating a summer camp for inner city kids.

    Tina – Really?!

    Kit – Yeah … I already have the land mapped out … in an area of the ranch to the northeast of here, with direct access to the road. And I have the plan for the facilities. With this money, I can now finance the construction!

    Tina – It’s a beautiful dream, Kit!

    Kit – And I’ll make it a reality! What’s the point of living a good life if you can’t share it, right?

    Tina – Right!

      I’m currently discovering this other story, being “orphan” from your After The Kiss *wink* and I’m already hooked !

      You have a truly cinematic eye – and I’m a huge cinema passionate. I can see Kit’s ranch and every details as if I was admiring them through Tina’s eyes and, well, to imagine Bette as a cowgirl is very sexy, I must say !
      Since I adore western movies, I cannot help but remembering the great Missy, my favorite classic actress : pretty fiery, even arrogant but mesmerizing too – our poor Tina has no chance to resist !

      Thank you so very much for this new delightful journey, my dear writer :-)

        • Yes indeed !
          Well, what can I say ? “Cowgirl” immediately makes me think about Stanwyck in one of her westerns (like The Furies, The Moonlighter or Forty Guns) – even if this marvelously versatile actress was great in every other movie genres possible *wink*
          And, well, her voice is the sexiest I have ever heared… Not a beauty but what a charm – more dangerous, the charm !

          So now that you already know two of my absolute favorite ladies, Jennifer Beals and “Missy”, I five your the last two : my first teenage crush, Vivien Leigh, and my biggest screen crush ever, Kate Winslet :-)
