The ranch owner chuckles.
Kit – She grew up, didn’t she? And she doesn’t hide her preferences!
Tina glances at her with raised eyebrows.
Kit – Uh-huh! Art and women!
The blonde turns back to the painting, strangely attracted to it.
Tina – The colors … the strokes … it’s … powerful!
She studies it for another moment, her eyes absorbing the details, somehow unable to look away.
Tina – She is really talented!
Kit – She got the talent from her mom. But not the irreverence! Her mom painted beautiful watercolors.
Tina – What does she do with her paintings?
Kit – Oh, she exhibits and sells them! And she owns an art gallery in San Francisco.
Tina – Really?!
Kit – The Bette Porter Gallery. She is more than a cowgirl, for sure!
The blonde smiles embarrassed. Kit places the cloth back on top of the canvas.
Kit – Let’s cover it before she finds out!
Tina smiles and continues to take pictures of the view beyond the windows. The small rustic cabin in the valley looks even more appealing from that vantage point. Bette suddenly appears at the door.
Bette – Excuse me?!
The movie producer turns around startled to see Bette staring at her with a frown.
Kit – Oh, baby girl! I’m showing Tina the house!
The brunette does not take her eyes off the blonde. She crosses her arms.
Bette – Are you also planning on filming in my room?!
Tina – No! I’m just … taking pictures. I’m looking for a similar house to rent nearby.
Bette – I’d appreciate if you don’t invade my privacy any longer!
Kit – Relax, baby sis … I brought her here!
She turns to the film producer.
Kit – Let’s go, Tina!
She turns to her sister with a stern look.
Kit – We already got what we came here for!
They leave the room. Bette slams the door behind them. Kit sighs.
Kit – I told you: she has a temper!
Tina presses her lips together. They walk downstairs.
Tina – Can she … block our deal?
Kit – No. She and I each own 40% of the property. The other 20% belong to the employees. We have the majority. And she knows that we need the money. She won’t do anything.

Kit is a very nice woman and certainly not afraid to head butt with Bette.

I’m currently discovering this other story, being “orphan” from your After The Kiss *wink* and I’m already hooked !
You have a truly cinematic eye – and I’m a huge cinema passionate. I can see Kit’s ranch and every details as if I was admiring them through Tina’s eyes and, well, to imagine Bette as a cowgirl is very sexy, I must say !
Since I adore western movies, I cannot help but remembering the great Missy, my favorite classic actress : pretty fiery, even arrogant but mesmerizing too – our poor Tina has no chance to resist !

Well, what can I say ? “Cowgirl” immediately makes me think about Stanwyck in one of her westerns (like The Furies, The Moonlighter or Forty Guns) – even if this marvelously versatile actress was great in every other movie genres possible *wink*
And, well, her voice is the sexiest I have ever heared… Not a beauty but what a charm – more dangerous, the charm !
So now that you already know two of my absolute favorite ladies, Jennifer Beals and “Missy”, I five your the last two : my first teenage crush, Vivien Leigh, and my biggest screen crush ever, Kate Winslet :-)
