Kevin chuckled as he sipped his coffee, “I still can’t believe you hid in the bathroom all night”
Tina covered her face and laughed into her hands, “I was mortified! How was I supposed to know that just because someone invites you to a Halloween party, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a costume party?”
Kevin nearly spit out his drink, “It wasn’t that bad”
“Easy for you to say” Tina grinned, “You went as the Phantom of the Opera. All you had to do was lose the mask and it just looked like you wore a tux to the party”
“Yeah but then I had to spend the rest of the night feeling overdressed”
“Better than being dressed as a bright pink playboy bunny” Tina laughed, “At one point I had been in the bathroom so long that people started to think that I was some type of attendant”
Another round of laughter, something that failed to go unnoticed by a few patrons standing beside the cashier counter.
“Does she have to laugh like that?”
Dana rolled her eyes at her wife, her tone warning. “Al”
“What, I’m just saying!” Alive shrugged innocently, “He can’t be that funny”
Carmen shrugged her own shoulders as she glanced over at Tina and Kevin, “Maybe she’s just being nice”
Alice simply raised an eyebrow at her friend.
“What are you implying babe?” Dana asked with irritation.
“I’m just-”
“You don’t seriously think that Tina would do that to Bette do you, Al?”
Glancing around at her annoyed friends, Alice felt a wave of guilt pass over her at the fact that she entertained such a thought. However brief.
“Well, no”
“Exactly” Shane nodded in thanks as she was handed her coffee by the barista, “So just drop it and let’s all have a nice afternoon shall we?”
Alice crossed her arms and looked at her friend, amusement twinkling in her eyes. “Someone is a little snappy today”
“Someone has been without sex for four days” Carmen smiled as she lovingly patted her girlfriend on the shoulder, “We made a bet that she couldn’t go for more than a week without it”
Shane grumbled as she took a heavy swig of her coffee, hoping the caffeine perked up her mood.

About the chapter, Kevin is a nasty piece of ass.
I don’t understand why Tina didn’t tell the truth who was at the door.

I understand why Tina tried be friends with Kevin, but i think she need to stop be so naive about him. She alredy understand it, after his drunk appearance, but maybe it’s too late – he’s already made his plans about Angelica.

I think that Kevin, how stupid he is, understand that no judge gives him custody of Angelica. So i think he might to try another, illegal way to take Ange.

So glad Tina got wise to his lil game to win her back. After ABANDONING Tina and Angie and having NO RELATIONSHIP with his child, I can’t see a Court giving him any rights…he would have to have supervise visitation at best.
I love the way Tina Reassured Bette that she is her ONE AND ONLY!!!
Great birthday dinner with the Bracelet and the understanding that a proposal is coming one day…cute! I wished she would have told Bette about Kevin showing up drunk and looking to reconcile, but I understand NOT wanting to ruin their time together after a tough couple of weeks. I know Bette is gonna lose it when she finds out what Kevin is up to. She is very protective of Tina and Angie!
Glad you are feeling better, I had bronchitis in December it is hard on the body…the coughing alone make you so tired and sore. Take care and take all your antibiotics!

Ugh. Kevin is grinding my gears lol! I wish he’d just disappear and let Bette take over as the second parent role officially. Seems as if she has anyway. Ohhhh and I hope that’s a foreshadowing of a soon-to-be proposal! Love your stories. :)

Any chance u would make a sequel out of “as good as it gets” and continue with “never say never”? I am curious what kind of life does Tibette have with Tina become a famous singer and bette as a famous producer in as good as it gets or how Tina could finally fall in love with bette in never say never…i have to say from all of Tibette’s stories that i’ve read only in never say never Tina and Alice was sister.. and it’s quit refreshing..:D
