    He began to bang on the glass, hoping that the blonde would turn around and resume their conversation but she never did. He watched her walk towards the exit as he repeatedly banged on the glass so hard his hand hurt. The guards quickly pulled him away but Kevin never averted his eyes from Tina’s retreating back, continuing to yell for her until she was out of sight.

    One year later

    Carmen held up her headset to one of her ears, bobbing her head to the beat of the music as she set up the next song to play from her list. She looked out to the dance floor at all the guests in their dresses and suits, smiling as they happily danced to the music. It was a good feeling for her, for any DJ really to see people enjoying the music being spun. It made Carmen love what she did all the more.

    “Aaaaaand fade!” She blindly gestured to the person at her side, smiling as the current song faded and the new one taking over. “Perfect. That’s what I’m talking about!”

    She turned to high five her amazing little helper, her smile widening as Angie’s small hand slapped against her own.

    Angie had her own set of headphones secured over her ears, bobbing her head to the music just as Carmen had. She sat atop a high stool in front of a bunch of music equipment, her blue party dress ruffled around her.

    Having spent a decent amount of time with Carmen in her booth, Angie had learned the turntable basics. She knew what certain knobs and buttons did, turning and pushing the right ones to change the beat of the song playing. Carmen watched impressed, her arms crossed and a wide smile on her face. It sounded good.

    “Looks like you have a little protégé on your hands” Shane smiled as she approached the booth, two beers and a juice box in hand.

    “No kidding” Carmen graciously took a beer and made room for Shane to join her and Angie in the booth, “You think Bette would let her major in music when she gets to college?”

    Shane nearly choked on her beer as she handed the talented Angie the juice box, “Are you crazy? Bette has her heart set on Angie studying art”

    4. Thank you for this story. I was sitting in my office today and reading this one over again. My boss wondered what had me so enthralled lol. I love a happy Tibette ending. It’s something so special about these two. I love them. Inexplicably, because of all the challenges that come their way. They always overcome and that’s what truly matters.
