    “Why did you do it?” Tina cut in, not wanting to hear any apologies from him. She wouldn’t believe his sincerity. “I was scared, I panicked” Kevin confessed, his eyes welling with tears as he gripped the phone harder. He expelled a shuddered breath and Tina still couldn’t find the heart to feel bad for

    “I was scared, I panicked” Kevin confessed, his eyes welling with tears as he gripped the phone harder. He expelled a shuddered breath and Tina still couldn’t find the heart to feel bad for him, instead simply growing impatient. “It was clear that I had lost you and I just .. I didn’t want to lose Angie too”

    “You would have never lost Angie” Tina stated, sincere yet with a firm enough tone that Kevin would believe what she was saying. “No matter what happened between Bette and I, you were her father. I would have never kept her from you”

    “Were” Kevin scoffed bitterly, “Because I’m not anymore”

    “How can you be from in here?” Tina sat back in her seat, the short phone cord strained with the new distance. “Do you think you’re just going to do some time here and come out like nothing ever happened? You took my baby from me. I won’t ever trust you with her”

    “You can’t keep her from me!” Kevin exclaimed, surprising Tina with his sudden outburst. “You just said you would never do that!”

    “Calm down or you’re done” One of the officers warned Kevin, his expression as hard as stone. There would be no second chances with him.

    “And I wouldn’t have” Tina replied, calm despite her quick scare. “Before. Now? I have to do what’s best for my child and that means keeping her away from you.”

    As if she could actually see his world crumbling around him, Tina watched as Kevin dropped his head in his hands. He shook it in utter defeat, still holding onto the phone. He sniffled and right then, Tina knew he was crying. Still, she felt no sympathy.

    There would have been a time where her feelings would have wavered, her forgiving heart never able to hold a grudge. After the ordeal Kevin had put them all through, Tina found she couldn’t just forgive and forget. She had meant what she said, she would never trust him with Angie again.

    Kevin’s broken voice filled Tina’s ear, the low tone made it hard to make out his words but the blonde had been able to anyway. “I would have never hurt her”

    4. Thank you for this story. I was sitting in my office today and reading this one over again. My boss wondered what had me so enthralled lol. I love a happy Tibette ending. It’s something so special about these two. I love them. Inexplicably, because of all the challenges that come their way. They always overcome and that’s what truly matters.

    5. Love Tibette stories that show the humor & sweetness of this couple but also the maturity as evidenced when they own painful\hurtful words and trust that each one will forgive.
