Who’s Your Heart Chasing? – Chapter Two

    “I’m going to go home.”

“Yeah, yeah of course.” I agree with her.

“But Bette, we still need to talk but first I’m going to need some time to myself.”

    I nod in agreement.

She walks past me and I see her walk towards Angie to give her a hug.

    ___

It’s been two weeks since I last spoke with Tina. My body aches for her presence. I’ve had so much time to think about our last encounter. We haven’t had much time to talk about the growing situation that has hit us both in the face and I also ache for that. I hate not knowing what happens next. Has she been feeling the same? Has she been thinking about us like I have for the past two weeks? Has she been reconciling with Carrie? All these thoughts that run through my mind have taken over control. Angie hasn’t spoken much about it since that day with Shane at Dana’s. I don’t bring it to the surface, if she has a question I answer it.

“Mama B?” I hear a slight knock on my bedroom door.

My thoughts shake away. “Yes?” I responded.

    “Can we talk?”

“Come in sweetie.” I stand to my feet from the bed. “What’s the matter?”

“I’ve been talking with Mama and she was wondering if it would be ok to come pick me up for the weekend?”

    “If that’s what you want.”

“Thanks mom.” She turns to walk away.

    “Wait, Angie?”

    “Yeah mom?”

“Has your mother mentioned anything about Carrie?”

Angie takes a moment to respond, making me fear the worse.

“I’ve talked to her but Mama T hasn’t.”

    “Yo-you’ve talked to her?”

“Mama T doesn’t know yet but she has contacted me a few times.”

“Exactly what have you guys been talking about?”

“Just about Mama and how I’ve been doing.”

“Do you think that’s fair to your mother?”

“I don’t see why it would be a big deal. I was close to Carrie.”

“I just don’t know if you should be keeping this from your mother.”

“I was going to tell her but Carrie asked me not to.”

“So you listen to her instead of considering the feelings of your actual mother.”

“Mom lay off, we just talked a few times over the past week.”

    1. I just discovered your story and I’m very intrigued. It’s different from the other stories i have read.

It’s really weird Carrie has contact with Angie but doesn’t reach out to Tina to talk and find closure. That she and Bette doesn’t get along and tolerated each other for Angie’s sake i understand but i always felt Carrie tried to pull Angie in and tried in a sneaky way to get Angie on her side and put negative thoughts about her Mama B into her.

And Tina, so far i don’t like your version of her, blaming Bette for everything while she is as much to blame. Poor Bette, she always takes the blame and accept it, thinks herself she is the one who messed up. In this case it’s Tina who asked Bette if she was still in love with her while she already knew that answer. Maybe Bette’s timing could have been better but still it’s Tina who started this mess with her question to Bette.

I hope you will post a new chapter soon and to read about Carrie’s and Tina’s conversation.
