    “I just want to make sure you continue doing things that you enjoy on your own Tee. We’ll have plenty of together time. I don’t want you getting sick of me.”

    “That’s never going to happen.” Tina pulls Bette into her and plants a solid kiss on her mouth for emphasis. She then feeds her a piece of fruit that she was cutting up.

    “So do you have your outfit picked out for this evening?”

    “Yeah. It’s definitely a “power suit” kind of function. I’m wearing the navy blue pinstripe.”

    “Oh yeah. I love that outfit on you. What time are you leaving here?”

    “Cocktails are at 5:30; dinner at 6:30 so I will leave at around 4:45p. It’s only 1:00p did you want to do something this afternoon?”

    “No. We’ve been on the go so much lately. Let’s just relax. I’ll finish making our lunch and bring it into the living room so we can continue to work on the puzzle. I’m taking Angie to the Planet for dinner. Alice and Shane are meeting us.”

    “That’s good. See if Shane has heard anything from Jenny yet about the house.”

    “Yeah I will. Has Leigh said anything to you about them sharing a place together?”

    “No she hasn’t mentioned it but then I’ve only seen her once this week and that was at the faculty meeting. We only had a few minutes to talk afterwards. I’ll mention it to her tonight. I still can’t wrap my head around Leigh and Shane. I never would have expected that they would become such fast friends.”

    “Maybe she’ll be good for Shane. She might get her to settle down a bit.”

    “Yeah she just might. Shane has so much potential if she would just apply herself and focus. Leigh would be a good mentor for her. Especially being a college professor she’s experienced in dealing with young adults that are still ‘finding themselves’. Maybe she can offer Shane some direction.”

    4. You would have to throw the monkey wrench into the mix, didn’t you. I have faith that Bette has learned her lesson and if Candace tries anything, Tina will be the first to know.
      Then they’ll team up to slap her down!

    6. Am I right that it was Tina who did the cheating on Bette with Helena? Please do not let Bette get caried away. I hope she’ll put Candace in her place and tell her she’s a married woman!

    7. GM! Thanks for this post! Sorry, I didn’t make the post last night cause my body shut down on me about 9 or so. Plus it was storming here and that helped put me to sleep! I just can’t do Candance!! Pray everyone have a great day. I woke 40 minutes before the alarm had to pee. PPS

    10. Come on TEAM Porter show a little faith in our girl. LadySovjet yes you are correct. In this story Tina cheated with Helena; Bette never cheated and she’s not about to start now. Do you all really think that she would jeopardize her new relationship with Tina- the love of her life, the mother of her child, the woman she’s waited 8 long years to reconcile with? If you think there is a chance Bette would cheat with Candace then I’m not doing a good job of establishing her character :-).

      I threw Candace in the story for fun, and she will be around for a while so just stay tuned. Thanks as always for those who read and choose to comment. I appreciate the silent readers too.
