    “OK then, let’s get started. As you all know I have to present to the Board of Trustees on Friday, and we have the faculty networking dinner at the Chancellor’s home on Saturday evening. My TA Nadia has done a tremendous job of capturing our vision ‘Change the World through Art’ in this presentation. You each have a copy so please review it and become familiar with the content. The information will provide very useful conversation material for the donors and patrons of the arts that we will be meeting on Saturday. I know that everyone knows what our goal and purpose is in attending this function so please let’s stay focused. Does anyone have questions?”

    There was a collective “No Dean Porter.”

    “OK then. Let’s go around the room.”

    Each of the department heads reported on their particular areas of responsibilities. They determined some action items, after which Bette closed the meeting. Leigh and Bette walk out together. Jodi had left so unexpectedly that there was a lot of unfinished business that Leigh had to pick up so Bette took the time to touch base just to make sure that she was on the right track.

    “It’s been a whirlwind couple of days Dean Porter but I’ve already accomplished much of the preliminary work to get acclimated. I met with each of the students individually and viewed their work and progress. I made some recommendations and we have follow-up meetings already scheduled. I’ve spoken to my classes as a group to let them know our collective goals and vision so we are all working towards the same thing. I’ve encouraged freedom of expression through art with the knowledge that we will support them through the creative process. I will certainly let you know if anything comes up but for now everything is fine. I’m looking forward to the networking function on Saturday.”

    “Great. I’ll let you get back to it then Professor Ostin.”

    “Thank you. I’ll see you later Dean Porter.”

    Saturday – Home with Bette, Tina and Angie

    Bette has been steadfast about keeping her Monday thru Wednesday workout schedule and having the personal trainer on Saturday but she’d noticed that Tina was slacking off a bit giving more time to the family. As much as she appreciated her partner for doing that she wanted to make sure that Tina was taking time alone to refresh and rejuvenate.

    4. You would have to throw the monkey wrench into the mix, didn’t you. I have faith that Bette has learned her lesson and if Candace tries anything, Tina will be the first to know.
      Then they’ll team up to slap her down!

    6. Am I right that it was Tina who did the cheating on Bette with Helena? Please do not let Bette get caried away. I hope she’ll put Candace in her place and tell her she’s a married woman!

    7. GM! Thanks for this post! Sorry, I didn’t make the post last night cause my body shut down on me about 9 or so. Plus it was storming here and that helped put me to sleep! I just can’t do Candance!! Pray everyone have a great day. I woke 40 minutes before the alarm had to pee. PPS

    10. Come on TEAM Porter show a little faith in our girl. LadySovjet yes you are correct. In this story Tina cheated with Helena; Bette never cheated and she’s not about to start now. Do you all really think that she would jeopardize her new relationship with Tina- the love of her life, the mother of her child, the woman she’s waited 8 long years to reconcile with? If you think there is a chance Bette would cheat with Candace then I’m not doing a good job of establishing her character :-).

      I threw Candace in the story for fun, and she will be around for a while so just stay tuned. Thanks as always for those who read and choose to comment. I appreciate the silent readers too.
