(Tina) We still don’t really know the first thing about each other

Bette smiles, and Tina raises an eyebrow.

(Tina) And what we do know is pretty concerning

Bette gives a small laugh and they smile at each other.

Bette moves her hand slowly over Tina’s back.

(Bette) I know enough to know that I don’t want tomorrow to be the end of it

They smile at each other. Tina takes her in for a moment and then nods towards the room.

(Tina) You’re not even sure about falling asleep next to me here

Bette raises her eyebrows.

(Bette) Well, it’s not often that you voluntarily let the thief back to the scene of the crime

Tina smiles at her.

(Bette) But we’re here aren’t we?

(Tina smiles) You worked through it?

(Bette laughs) Yes

They both smile as Bette moves her arms around Tina’s waist and pulls her into a kiss. They draw back and Bette smiles at her.

(Bette) See me again

Tina examines her for a moment.

(Tina) When? What exactly are you suggesting?

Bette smiles and shrugs.

(Bette) Name the time and place, I’ll be there

Tina runs her hands down Bette’s arms and thinks for a moment, and Bette looks back at her, leaning her head to one side.

(Bette) Didn’t you just this evening tell me to live a little?

Tina smiles.

(Tina) Well yes, to have me stay over. What you’re proposing here feels riskier than that

(Bette) You wouldn’t usually tell someone where you’re going to be ahead of time?

Tina raises her eyebrows and shakes her head.

(Tina) No, I wouldn’t

They smile at each other.

(Bette) Make an exception

Tina runs her fingers through Bette’s hair and takes her in for a moment.

(Tina) I was going to actually, last year

Bette looks at her curiously.

(Tina shrugs) I was going to ask to see you again, on that last night. Before I spoke to my friend

Bette raises her eyebrows and looks back at her.

(Bette) Well I wanted to ask you too, but I was sure you’d say no

Tina looks at her for a moment, and then looks away, gathering her thoughts. Bette smiles as she watches her.
