    (Bette) Do you think you’re enjoying this a bit much? (Tina smiles) The attention or you being jealous? (Bette smiles) Both Tina shrugs. (Tina) Maybe Bette brings her arms back around Tina’s waist, pulling her close and kissing her neck. (Tina smiles) The attention is fun. And it’s usually me who’s jealous, so I’m enjoying

    (Bette) Do you think you’re enjoying this a bit much?

    (Tina smiles) The attention or you being jealous?

    (Bette smiles) Both

    Tina shrugs.

    (Tina) Maybe

    Bette brings her arms back around Tina’s waist, pulling her close and kissing her neck.

    (Tina smiles) The attention is fun. And it’s usually me who’s jealous, so I’m enjoying the role reversal

    Bette laughs into her neck and Tina smiles as she moves her hand through Bette’s hair. They are suddenly interrupted when they hear Kit loudly clear her throat in the doorway, neither having noticed her opening the door. She looks at them with eyebrows raised.

    (Kit) You distracting my best worker there Bette?

    Bette and Tina both smile as they share a glance, and Bette steps back as Tina adjusts her skirt.

    (Tina) I’ll be right out

    Kit raises her eyebrows and gives Bette a look as she returns to the bar. They smile at each other as Tina steps towards her, holding Bette close and speaking directly into her ear.

    (Tina) I’ll be out by 2

    Bette smiles as she turns her head towards her, and they hold each other’s gaze.

    (Bette) OK


    Late in the night, the Planet has closed and Bette is waiting for Tina by the bar. Bette smiles as Tina appears from the kitchen, and they both step towards each other, smiling into a kiss as Bette wraps her arms around her waist and Tina brings hers around her neck.

    (Tina) Mmmm, let’s get out of here

    (Bette smiles) OK

    Tina places her hand on Bette’s stomach and pushes her playfully towards the entrance and they both smile as they move across the room. Kit calls out to them from the kitchen.

    (Kit) Hey hold up, don’t go leaving without your tips

    They both turn as Kit walks towards them, and Tina raises her eyebrows at the wad of bills Kit is holding.

    (Tina) Jesus

    Kit smiles and shrugs.

    (Kit) What can I say, you were a hit

    Tina smiles at her and then glances at Bette, who smiles and shakes her head. Tina laughs and looks back to Kit.

    (Tina) You don’t need to pay me though Kit, it’s fine

    (Kit) Of course I’ll pay you, you saved my ass tonight

    1. No no it can’t end this way. But i agree with Bette that she shouldn’t contact Tina, let Tina contact Bette and stop running away. They are clearly in love with each other and i don’t know why Tina is so against commitment and a relationship but i hope she will think about it hard and reach out to Bette. It would break my heart if Bette is going to move on.

      Looking forward to the next chapter.

    3. This is Tina’s panic and her reaction to her own feelings for Bette. So she calls it off. Okay. I cannot imagine that Tina is really happy with her decision. I cannot imagine that she does not fall asleep every night without thinking about Bette. Time for Tina to decide if she is really happy with a series of meaningless relationship for the rest of her days or something meaningful which she obviously has with Bette. Bette should not contact Tina. If she does not hear from Tina within a month or so, then sit down and write her a letter expressing how much she enjoyed their time together. Then say good bye and wish her well. Something short, sweet and to the point. Perhaps this will give Bette closure on this episode in her life.
