Chapter 14
Two weeks later, the Planet. Bette enters and makes her way to the counter, and Kit smiles at her as she approaches.
(Kit) How you doing baby girl?
(Bette) I’m fine, I’m just after a takeaway coffee
Kit nods as she moves towards the coffee machine. She gestures towards a table at the back of the room as she starts making her coffee.
(Kit) Everyone’s here. Why don’t you go and say hi? I’ll bring this over
Bette looks towards the table and sighs.
(Bette) I think I’ll just keep going
Kit stops and looks at her.
(Kit) Bette, you can’t avoid them forever. They’re your friends, go and tell them what’s going on
Bette looks back at her.
(Bette) I just haven’t wanted to talk about it
(Kit sighs) I know. But it might help. Let them be there for you
Bette sighs as she looks again towards the table.
(Bette) You’ll bring the coffee over?
Kit smiles and nods.
(Kit) Sure thing
Bette makes her way over and waves as she approaches.
(Alice) Oh my God where the fuck have you been? Do you know how many times I’ve tried to call you?
Bette shrugs as she takes a seat.
(Bette) Sorry Al
Kit brings over Bette’s coffee and places it in front of her, touching her affectionately on the shoulder as she moves away. They all watch Bette as she has a sip of her drink.
(Alice) You don’t look so good
Bette looks up at her.
(Bette) Thanks Al
They all continue looking at her.
(Shane) Everything OK?
Bette glances around the table.
(Bette) Tina ended things
They all look at her with raised eyebrows, and Shane reaches out and places her hand on her shoulder.
(Shane) Fuck Bette
(Dana) What happened?
Bette looks over at her and shrugs.
(Bette) She doesn’t want a relationship, as I’ve always known. Things went too far for her, and so she ended it
Alice looks at her, studying her for a long moment.
(Alice) I’m so sorry
That evening, Bette is in her kitchen and hears a soft tapping on the door to her garden. She looks up and meets Shane’s eyes, and Shane holds up a six pack of beer. Bette smiles as she makes her way over and opens the door.

No no it can’t end this way. But i agree with Bette that she shouldn’t contact Tina, let Tina contact Bette and stop running away. They are clearly in love with each other and i don’t know why Tina is so against commitment and a relationship but i hope she will think about it hard and reach out to Bette. It would break my heart if Bette is going to move on.
Looking forward to the next chapter.
I agree wholeheartedly with Bibi’s Comment.
Bette should not contact Tina. Please do not let this be the end.
Post more soon.

This is Tina’s panic and her reaction to her own feelings for Bette. So she calls it off. Okay. I cannot imagine that Tina is really happy with her decision. I cannot imagine that she does not fall asleep every night without thinking about Bette. Time for Tina to decide if she is really happy with a series of meaningless relationship for the rest of her days or something meaningful which she obviously has with Bette. Bette should not contact Tina. If she does not hear from Tina within a month or so, then sit down and write her a letter expressing how much she enjoyed their time together. Then say good bye and wish her well. Something short, sweet and to the point. Perhaps this will give Bette closure on this episode in her life.
Thanks for the chapter…
Is Tina sick or something? Is she dying and will only live 10yrs?? Whyyyyyy so scared to commit???? C’mon Tee!! Come back!
Thanks, K! Been checkin’ everyday for new chaps. :)
Oh please don’t let this be the end. I love this story. Tina need to realize what’s she’s walked away from.
