    Chapter 32 – More Packing

Wit shook hands with the ladies and then wished them well. Contact him if he could be of service.

Marilyn: Do you think that you and your family have time to have dinner with me sometime this week?

Bette:  Yes, I believe we could do that, but I must say that Thursday night is out.

Marilyn:  Well, I do not want to go out on Friday so how about tomorrow night? I’ll send the car to pick you and the kids up.

Tina:  We do have our mom, Mary Southerland with us this week. So, we will need to include her in our plans.

Marilyn: Is this Bette’s mom? Oh, yes, I would love to meet her. By all means, please bring her along. That way, I’ll have a dinner partner and not be the odd one out. Six makes for a better table than five. Shall we go to the Empire Steak House again? I do love their food.

    Tina:  Sounds wonderful to me.

Marilyn: It’s settled then. I will send Gerard to pick you up at 6:30. What am I talking about? I’ll be with him.  We will be by at 6:30. This is going to be a real treat for me. I’m going to meet Mary Southerland and I get to see Daniel and of course Angie, again as well.

Marilyn seemed really more thrilled about dinner than the fact that she had just spent $12 million on an apartment.

Tina hugged Marilyn’s neck and wished her happiness in her new, New York home and then they would see her tomorrow night. Bette called the driver after they stopped by the restaurant to pick up their two bags of lunch. Bette carried the bags as Tina text Mary, Angie and Daniel that they were on their way home with lunch in hand.

Once in the car, Bette then asked Tina what should we do about dinner tonight?

Tina: I know you have something in mind. So, tell me what you have in mind.

Bette:  I want to go to a French restaurant sometime this week. We could go early before Hamilton on Thursday or we can go tonight or we can go Friday early. Since tomorrow, it looks like we are having steak or seafood.
