Tina laughed:  Daniel, did you nap this afternoon?

Daniel: Yes, I did. I needed a nap. We had been up since 3:30 this morning. And I must have gone up and down those stairs at least two dozen times. Oh, and thank you for my polo shirt, Grandmama. I plan to wear it the next time I play golf unless I am playing as a school activity.

The waiter came and introduced himself. And asked for a cocktail order. Bette ordered a couple of bottles of Merlot and Tina ordered appetizers for the table to be shared. Daniel asked for some ice tea.

Angie and Suzanne returned to the table and were given menus. Tina informed them that appetizers had been ordered as well as wine. When looking at the menu, Suzanne’s eyes got rather large as she noticed the prices of each item. Tina saw the look.

Tina: Suzanne. You are our guest and you should order whatever you want from the menu. Please do not concern yourself with the prices. This is a night of celebration of the beginning of yours and Angie’s beginning your college life. If you see something you want to try or a favorite, by all means order it. Oh, and we have ordered crab stuffed mushrooms and some mild seasoned chicken wings to be shared by everyone. Hopefully, that will tide you over until the entrée gets here. Oh, and we will be having dessert if you have room.

Angie: Suzanne, do you drink coffee?

Suzanne:  Yes, I do. I haven’t graduated to drinking it black yet. I usually put a lot of cream in it.

Angie:  Excellent. We have a coffee maker in the room. And we got both some instant cream and some half-and-half in the fridge. But I didn’t put sugar on the grocery list.

Mary: So, do you girls have your classes all lined up and a schedule already?

Suzanne:  I pre-registered for my classes on-line. On Tuesday, we all have appointments to complete our registration process and classes start Wednesday. So, my plan was to familiarize myself with the campus and get organized for classes to start. I also have an appointment at the Student Assistance office to get my on-campus job assignment.
