    (Tina) I had no idea She looks back to Alice. (Tina) And we’re still so awful to each other? Alice shrugs. (Tina) That’s so much anger to maintain for such a long period of time Alice nods as she has another sip of her beer. (Alice) We all hoped it might get better over time,

    (Tina) I had no idea

    She looks back to Alice.

    (Tina) And we’re still so awful to each other?

    Alice shrugs.

    (Tina) That’s so much anger to maintain for such a long period of time

    Alice nods as she has another sip of her beer.

    (Alice) We all hoped it might get better over time, but I don’t know, it just hasn’t

    (Tina) And am I the same? I speak to her the way she speaks to me?

    Alice looks at her.

    (Alice) You give as good as you get

    Tina looks back to her reflection in the mirror.

    The doorbell rings and Tina looks to Alice with panicked eyes.

    (Tina) Shit. I’m not ready

    Alice laughs.

    (Alice) All good, I’ll stall her. It’ll give me a chance to have a stern word with her about her intentions

    Tina smiles and shakes her head as Alice leaves the room.


    Alice opens the door and looks at Bette seriously, standing in the doorway and making no move to invite her in.

    Bette eyes her suspiciously.

    (Bette) You’re assuming some sort of weird parental role here, are you?

    (Alice) There are things we need to discuss

    Bette raises her finger and smiles.

    (Bette) Al, we’re not doing this

    (Alice) The hell we’re not

    Alice crosses her arms across her chest and leans on the door frame, further blocking Bette’s entry. Bette looks to the ceiling and lets out an exasperated sigh.

    (Alice) No funny business. And I want her home by midnight

    Bette rubs her temples.

    (Bette) Jesus, between you and Shane…

    (Alice) She had a word too did she? Hmmm, maybe we should have coordinated

    Bette raises both of her hands.

    (Bette) Alice, seriously, this is completely unnecessary. We’re having dinner. That’s all

    Alice continues looking at her suspiciously.

    (Alice) We’ll talk again

    (Bette sighs) Fantastic. Now can I please come in? Or am I waiting on the doorstep?

    Alice considers this and then smiles.

    (Alice) Doorstep

    (Bette) Jesus fucking christ

    Alice smiles at her as she closes the door, leaving Bette waiting outside shaking her head.


    After a short while Tina walks down the hallway and into the lounge. She glances around the room before looking to Alice, who is sitting on the couch scrolling through her phone.

    1. Humm.. so Bette and Tina have been separated for more than 10 years… that is a long time. This temporary amnesia may be the only way these two can get together. They have to be in a place where the pain and hurt has been totally blanked out. Subconsciously, Tina knows what cause the breakup and that is why she does not want to know about it from Bette. Once she brings it into her consciousness, she will have to deal with it. It would seem that her desire to be with Bette is far more important than knowing what happened and then to deal with how she feels about it. Seems like these two are really in a mess.

    2. I agree with you Martha.

      It will be interesting to see how this will go, it could be a good thing to come close again, build a friendship before Tina become the Tina she was. I believe their separation was ugly, otherwise their wouldn’t be still so much angry between them. Bette has admitted she is still hung up on Tina and i believe Tina is as well. But ten years separated and so much anger, i really want to know what happened, if you follow canon a bit i wouldn’t be surprised if the reason is that Tina left Bette for Henry or some other guy.
      I am really curious what happened.
