    (Tina) Where’s Bette? Alice points to the front door without looking up. Tina shakes her head. (Tina) Alice Tina walks to the door and opens it, smiling at Bette waiting patiently on the doorstep. (Tina) Hey (Bette smiles) Hey They stand facing each other for a long moment, both smiling. (Tina) Sorry about my roommate,

    (Tina) Where’s Bette?

    Alice points to the front door without looking up.

    Tina shakes her head.

    (Tina) Alice

    Tina walks to the door and opens it, smiling at Bette waiting patiently on the doorstep.

    (Tina) Hey

    (Bette smiles) Hey

    They stand facing each other for a long moment, both smiling.

    (Tina) Sorry about my roommate, she’s crazy

    (Bette smiles) Yes. Are you ready to go?

    Tina nods and picks up her handbag from the hallstand, yelling out to Alice as she pulls the door closed behind her.

    (Tina) Bye Al

    Alice looks up and smiles at them from the couch.

    (Alice) Behave you two


    Bette and Tina walk together out of the apartment block and back to Bette’s car. As they reach the car Bette glances back towards the apartment.

    (Bette) Maybe you can pick me up next time

    Tina smiles at her.

    (Tina) Pretty confident about a second date are we?

    They smile at each other as they both step into the car.


    As they drive Tina watches with a frown as Bette confidently operates the in-car system. Bette glances over and notices Tina’s serious demeanour as she watches Bette’s every movement.

    (Bette) Everything is new I guess? It must be overwhelming sometimes

    Tina looks over at her.

    (Tina) Yes, it is. I’m trying to just go with the flow but it looks very impressive to me, you managing all of this

    They smile at each other.


    They arrive at a cosy Italian restaurant that Tina has chosen and settle in a booth.

    (Bette smiles) I didn’t know this was still here. I haven’t been here in God knows how long

    (Tina smiles) I wanted to go somewhere familiar. Everything’s so crazy at the moment, I thought it might be nice to sit with you somewhere we’ve been together many times

    Bette smiles at her.

    (Bette) Well, it certainly is

    They finish their meals and then settle back over a glass of wine, both enjoying their easy conversation. Tina has a sip of her drink and looks to Bette.

    (Tina) Can you tell me about Angelica?

    Bette raises her eyebrows and they smile at each other.

    (Bette) What would you like to know?

    Tina smiles and takes a deep breath.

    1. Humm.. so Bette and Tina have been separated for more than 10 years… that is a long time. This temporary amnesia may be the only way these two can get together. They have to be in a place where the pain and hurt has been totally blanked out. Subconsciously, Tina knows what cause the breakup and that is why she does not want to know about it from Bette. Once she brings it into her consciousness, she will have to deal with it. It would seem that her desire to be with Bette is far more important than knowing what happened and then to deal with how she feels about it. Seems like these two are really in a mess.

    2. I agree with you Martha.

      It will be interesting to see how this will go, it could be a good thing to come close again, build a friendship before Tina become the Tina she was. I believe their separation was ugly, otherwise their wouldn’t be still so much angry between them. Bette has admitted she is still hung up on Tina and i believe Tina is as well. But ten years separated and so much anger, i really want to know what happened, if you follow canon a bit i wouldn’t be surprised if the reason is that Tina left Bette for Henry or some other guy.
      I am really curious what happened.
