Chapter 5 – A Day with No Plans
Tina: Oh yeah, I can make those arrangements by email now. I’ll start researching real estate agents in New York and be ready with that. What else?
Bette: Let’s be sure to leave a cash gift for all the doorman and the security people to be given to them the when we leave for New Haven. We won’t be there for Christmas and I think we need to express our appreciation for their work. Oh, and let’s store all of Angie’s goods to go to New Haven neatly stacked in one of the guest rooms and that going to Los Angeles in her room neatly stacked. Try to dispose of that which is to be disposed of before you come home. This is a lot on you T. Just concentrate on getting Angie ready first and whatever needs to be done to help us sell the place 2nd. Everything else can wait.
Tina: You haven’t mentioned anything that is a surprise. We are going to have to do this sooner or later. I’m glad to get this part out of the way. I really want all our shopping out of the way by the time I get back here. Of course, that does not count the incidental shopping at the grocery store in New Haven. Bette, I think this is coming together for us. Now if we could just find a house, we would be all set.
Bette: Well, I have a full week next week but not as full as yours. Monday is my interview at UCLA where Daniel and I will be their guest for lunch. I may go see Shane and Bobbie in the afternoon and maybe have dinner with them. I think Daniel would like to visit Shay and Jordan. Tuesday, we have to be at Whittington Elementary School at 8:00 in the morning. So, we will have to get up early and get going. I can’t wait to face that traffic. They said we would not be finish until 3:00 or 3:30. I’ll take Daniel out to eat somewhere that night. On Wednesday, we are to be at the doctor’s office at 1:30 pm. We will eat lunch somewhere and then I am taking him clothes shopping. If he needs uniforms, we’ll get them measured and ordered. That will take about the rest of the day. Maybe we can meet Kit and Sonny for dinner somewhere after that. Thursday, I need to get the laundry and the house cleaned up and get some groceries into the house for the following week. That will be an early night to bed so we can get up at dark thirty and go pick up my wife and daughter at the airport. So, by the end of next week, hopefully I’ll have a job, Daniel will have a school, and Angie will be almost packed for school, and the process to sell our New York apartment will be underway.
