    Fire and Ice—Chapter Two

    “You can send her in”

The Detective nods and Tina watches him exit as a weak smile creeps on the corners of her lips at the thought of seeing Bette.  But her smile quickly faded as the woman that entered the room was not Bette but someone she had never seen before…She watched her walked slowly toward her bedside

“Who are you?” Tina asked trying to hide her disappointment and her growing feeling the Bette had abandoned and betrayed her

“Uh…hi…I’m Iris…Iris Hayes” she says as a crackling noise rang in her ear gave way to a man’s voice

Make friends with her.  Gain her trust and then bring her to me.  Everyone who saw Bette that night bring her in has been silenced so don’t fail me Iris. If all goes well it will be the sweetest revenge against Bette Porter.  Follow the plan and don’t fuck up..Ever how long it takes..Poetic justice if you will.  Our time begins now

Tina notices the woman staring blankly at her

    “Can I help you?”

Iris snaps out of her trance as the voice goes silent in her ear

“Uh yeah..I’m sorry I just wanted to see if you were ok.  I was jogging in the park that night when I saw a woman stab you and run off”

The words stung worse than the pain she was currently in.  She could hear and feel her heart shattering in a million pieces as reality set in.  The image she was seeing was true.

“A woman?…Did you see what she looked like?” Tina asked holding on to any hope that she was wrong

Iris sighed “Yes.  She had long curly brunette hair.  I mean I saw her for a split second and she was wearing a black hoodie and gray pants”

Tina’s eyes filled with tears as the image of Bette flashed in her mind. She was wearing a black hoodie and gray pants. Not to mention it was Bette who messaged her to meet in the park in the first place. Tina closed her eyes as more tears trailed down the sides of her cheeks

    “Uh.  I’m sorry..I hurt you didn’t I?”

    Tina faintly shook her head

“No you didn’t hurt me.  But it seems the love of my life did”

    1. amethyst,

I’m loving this story. I especially loved reading how Bette & Tina met. Ahh, that instant attraction.

Tina thinks Bette stabbed her, but she saw something in Bette’s eyes at the club. It will be interesting, to say the least, how she reacts when she finds out the truth about Iris.

Looking forward to how Bette and her team will take down Rocco. Great chapter.
