    “It was good – I have a renewed library ticket “

    Bette laughed “Excellent – have you ordered something ?”

    “Not yet “

    Bette reached behind her and took a menu from the table behind her
    “What do you fancy ?”

    There was only one answer to that and Tina’s face showed her reply which was enough to make Bette laugh
    “To eat I mean “

    “I didn’t say a word “ Tina protested. Bette shook her head
    “Would you like a sandwich or a salad ?”

    “What are we having tonight ?”

    “I haven’t made my mind up “

    “Don’t go to any special lengths just in case “

    “Just in case we jump each other’s bones again ?” Bette raised an eyebrow
    The sexual tension was there in abundance – last night had opened a floodgate that they were only now beginning to realise was holding back a torrent not a trickle of passion.
    Tina nodded “Its possible that we can show some restraint “

    “The restraint we showed last night ?” Bette was smiling and leaning close to Tina
    “Well maybe a little more than that “

    They laughed and Tina touched Bette’s hand “ Thanks for the rose – its beautiful “

    “So are you “ Bette heard herself saying before she laughed at the cheesiness of her comment. Tina laughed as well.
    “I cannot believe you said that “

    “Neither can I – I’m sorry – do you want a sandwich because I am really hungry”

    “I’ll just have something on wholemeal with chicken and salad “

    “That sounds good enough for me – another coffee ?”

    “Please “

    Bette kissed Tina again and went off to the counter to place their order. When she came back Tina was holding the rose and admiring it
    “I hope the rose wasn’t too corny “

    “Its really nice – thank you again “

    Bette smiled – in truth she had only bought the rose because James had asked her several times if she wanted him to order a huge bunch of flowers for Tina. Bette had wanted to buy something for Tina but she really wanted to keep away from the generic flowers and chocolates. Hopefully the more she got to know Tina the better her gift buying would be.
    “So tell me about your morning in the library “

    2. 120 ch? Fantastic! Bring it on. We know you have it in you to write entertaining, brilliant, thought-out stories with many chapters to enjoy. I just say “The L Wing” with 328 chapters :-) Love it!

      This seems to be the week of multiple postings. I feel spoiled by you and all those other wonderful authors. Thanks for that!

      Now that Rosemary met Tina, she’ll be even more motivated to bring Bette and Tina together. I wonder what her new plan has to do with the library.
      It’s nice how comfortable Tina and Bette already are with each other. Meeting at Tina’s flat has potential for Emma dropping by unannounced.

      Looking forward for the next chapter.
