”Wow…what an honor at this time of night…nothing better than coming to me?” Bette played.
Tina immediately showed the orange pudding ”well I know you really love it” she said approaching Bette’s bed and offering her the pudding sweetly with a stupid smile ”I got one more today”.
Bette’s eyes widened, that gesture was really the sweetest thing anyone had done for her lately.
She couldn’t help but smile at the sight of the blonde there with her and her favorite pudding ”thank you…” Bette managed to barely whisper as she grabbed the box and spoon.
Bette gestured for Tina to sit on her bed as she unwrapped the pudding and the blonde greeted ”Angelica?”
Tina smiled at the question ”I was going to get it, then I remembered to bring you this…” Tina looked at her ”she won’t notice I’m gone for a while” Tina winked.
As Bette spoiled the pudding, Tina couldn’t help but notice her lips, soft, red, plump, the way she licked the spoon, God…Bette made everything look sexy even in a hospital bed.
”So with Callie?”
The question caught Tina off guard, she coughed suddenly and Bette giggled ”God, don’t you know Alice? She’s Radio Alice…she loves this kind of stuff…” Bette gestured funny ”everyone here knows by now Tina…news of fights fly”.
Tina ran her hands through her hair nervously ”I… I’m sorry…”
”For what?” Bette asked shocked
”Well, I know she’s your ex…”
”Alt, alt…Tina…” Bette stopped her ”Look, I’m not on her side at all…she’s a bitch, I know…she can be so evil.”
Tina sighed ”I know…I just don’t like this stuff…everyone was staring at us, everyone knew about us…ahhhh…it was horrible”
”I can imagine” Bette replied lowering her eyes ”she’s so competitive, since she’s been with Mark, she’s losing control of everything…I don’t know how I managed to be with her all that time…she was so…different”.
Tina was struck by the sincerity of Bette’s words, so much so that the brunette noticed ”sorry…I shouldn’t occupy your mind with personal reasons at work…moreover about a colleague of yours.” Bette became nervous.
”no, I don’t mind at all that you tell me about it and honestly I don’t think that she and I will be friends.” Tina stated laughing slightly.

Bette has been in the hospital for 2 years. I would assume that she and Callie broke up before she was admitted as a patient. Callie was seeing Mark before she broke up with Bette, so I would think that pregnancy would be inevitable. Bette’s situation seems hopeless at this point. It appears that her only hope is a transplant. She is unhappy about her physical condition and her future prospects. That does not lend itself to improving her health. And Callie’s announced pregnancy does not make Bette’s life easier. Tina is trying to be her friend, but Bette’s attitude does not make it easy. Life for Bette is spiraling from bad to worse. In Bette’s words, she needs a miracle.

It is normal for Bette to be frustrated and angry about “I know how you feel”, not pleasant for Tina but…
I would be free to assume that Bette’s condition will worsen and it will lead to some “neurosurgery stuff”.
who knows…we’ll see. In the meantime, you’ll have a new chapter.
