      Tina laughed.   ”Alice, let’s really not talk about that woman” Helena said rolling her eyes ”my mother has already been talking to me about her for the past three days”.   ”You know perfectly well that your mother is right” Alice stated ”and we all know why she is still here in this

     

    Tina laughed.

     

    ”Alice, let’s really not talk about that woman” Helena said rolling her eyes ”my mother has already been talking to me about her for the past three days”.

     

    ”You know perfectly well that your mother is right” Alice stated ”and we all know why she is still here in this hospital.”

     

    Tina raised an eyebrow ”really?” she asked without understanding.

     

    Helena and Shane looked at each other and sighed.

     

    ”Come on, say it!!” Alice exclaimed dramatically, throwing an arm around Dana’s neck, who was on the couch next to her.

     

    Shane spoke from the floor, she was sitting on the carpet next to Angie, looking at Tina ”when Bette and Callie started dating, Helena was still into Bette…”

     

    ”I wasn’t into Bette…I was just” Helena tried to say ”you were just into her fingers dear!” Alice laughed out loud putting her hand in front of her mouth.

     

    Tina quickly turned red laughing, Alice could be so funny, she looked at Helena who was a mess of embarrassment ”ok ok, can we continue with the story?” Tina begged

     

    ”I mean…” Helena took control ”yeah, maybe I was still into Bette for those few times we went out together but, the head of orthopedics resigned without warning, my mother was going crazy…so we knew that Torres had graduated from Yale and Bette tried everything to convince her…and so it was.”

     

    ”Pottery persuasion” Dana laughed.

     

    ”wow that’s beautiful” Alice kissed her forehead.

     

    ”So now you have a chain contract with her?” Tina said looking annoyed by the situation.

     

    ”no actually it’s a contract like all the others…but my mother always remembers the great help she is given…so she is really thinking about sending her away..plus you know how much my mother adores Bette…after what Callie did to her” Helena concluded.

     

    Angelica yawned making everyone smile ”ok honey, say goodnight and we’ll go to bed okay?” Tina picked Angie up and carried her to her room.

     

    ”Kennard hurry up or we’ll start truth or dare without you” Alice said quickly making Tina laugh. That chaotic situation seemed so much like family to Tina.

     

    What if Bette had been there one day?

    2. Bette has been in the hospital for 2 years. I would assume that she and Callie broke up before she was admitted as a patient. Callie was seeing Mark before she broke up with Bette, so I would think that pregnancy would be inevitable. Bette’s situation seems hopeless at this point. It appears that her only hope is a transplant. She is unhappy about her physical condition and her future prospects. That does not lend itself to improving her health. And Callie’s announced pregnancy does not make Bette’s life easier. Tina is trying to be her friend, but Bette’s attitude does not make it easy. Life for Bette is spiraling from bad to worse. In Bette’s words, she needs a miracle.
