”Son of a bitch!” Bette screamed as she jumped away from her truck, shaking her burned hand in the air.

Alice never even flinched as she rested against the passenger’s side door, her eyes never leaving her phone and the game she was playing. She shook her head, ”I told you this truck was a piece of shit”

”Not helping” Bette gritted as she looked down at her wound before bringing it to her lips and kicking the front bumper of her truck in anger.

Alice snorted but decided not to say anything as she played her game, swiping her finger wildly across the screen.

She really had warned Bette about the truck before the brunette had even purchased it, knowing that it would eventually end up at a scrap lot. She hadn’t counted on it giving up in the middle of the road though.

”The battery is dead” Bette concluded as she cautiously leaned over the exposed hood of her truck.

”Great” Alice pushed off the passenger’s side door and walked over to her friend, ”Now what? We have a gig in less than an hour, Bette”

Bette bit her lip as she looked at her best friend, knowing the blonde wouldn’t like the solution she was about to suggest.

”We gotta call your sister”

Alice’s eyes widened slightly before she shook her head, ”No. No way”

Bette rolled her eyes, ”Unless you have some magical way of giving my truck a jump, we have to. She’s the only one that’s gonna be able to help us out. Shane and Dana are probably at The Planet by now”

”Ask Candace” Alice suggested desperately, earning a questionable look from the brunette.

”I’m gonna pretend you didn’t even say that and tell you again to call Tina”

Alice hesitated, ”I’ve been avoiding her since she asked me to take her to The Planet. I know if she comes to help us she’s gonna want me to take her”

”So take her” Bette rolled her eyes, ”If you don’t call her then we’re stuck here because I’m not paying for a tow”

She crossed her arms over her chest and Alice knew that she didn’t have a choice. She narrowed her eyes at her best friend before dialing her sister’s number.
