    ”Come in” Tina heard Bette say from the other side

    Tina opened the door to find Bette putting a fresh gown on her mother and laying her back down on the bed.

    ”We just got a nice bath and are all lotioned up” Bette said hooking Theresa’s EKG, IV, and removing the the cover on the feeding tube and hooking it back up.

    Tina walked next to the bed and looked at her mother who was still staring at Bette.

    ”Mom?”

    Theresa turned and locked eyes with Tina.

    ”You keep staring at Bette. Is there a reason?”

    Theresa blinked once.

    Bette and Tina looked at each other.

    Theresa moved her eyes and focused on Bette’s name tag. Bette followed her eyes and pointed at it.

    Theresa blinked once.

    ”Did you know Bette before now?” Tina asked

    Theresa blinked once

    Tina looked at Bette. Bette shook her head and shrugged her shoulders

    ”This is the first time I’ve met her” Bette responded

    Tina looked at Theresa who blinked twice

    Tina was now confused and Bette was puzzled

    ”Ms. Kennard? Did you know my parents?”

    Theresa blinked once

    Tina was now intrigued and scrunched her forehead in thought

    ”How did you-” Tina suddenly stopped as an image of of a young girl popped in her head and she looked at Bette in horror ”Oh my God! That’s why you were so familiar to me. Elizabeth!..Oh God!” Tina shrieked on the verge of tears and ran out of the room

    ”Wait! Tina! How did you know that-” Bette yelled out and stopped when she heard Theresa grunt and looked down to see tears glistening in her eyes and it suddenly occurred to her as she looked at Theresa who she was.

    ”Ms. Terry?” Bette gasped as she felt her own eyes glisten with tears as well

    Theresa blinked once causing her tears to fall down her cheeks.

    ”That means that was Christina that just ran out of the room?” Bette asked in shock and now trembling

    Theresa blinked once.

    ”Oh God” Bette muttered and looked at Theresa ”It’s ok Ms. Terry. I’m ok. It was a long time ago. I have let all that go. It seems maybe someone else hasn’t” Bette said standing back up and holding Theresa’s hand as Theresa continued to sob.

    2. This is a good beginning…. but please do not abandon your other story….. I so want to see what happens to Bette and Tina in that one as well as this one…..

      I am going to have to start taking notes on all the stories that are in progress… I love reading them all, but I get somewhat frustrated when they suddenly end with no ending…. I get particularly frustrated when the story goes on for many months and chapters and then suddenly just stops – then years go by and nothing. And then suddenly the author will start to write again and starts one or two or three stories with no mention of the saga which I have been waiting for for months perhaps years. And the strange thing is that the stories are good and seem to be so close to completion. Another couple of chapters maybe????

      • Totally understand your frustration Martha!…If you are referring to Stolen Hearts it only has one chapter remaining for that book. I should post it soon. I have not decided to do a sequel. It would depend on demand. As far as Soul Dancing that one is far from over. This one however I have been writing on and it’s almost finished. It could warrant a sequel..but again.. that would be up to you the readers

    3. Gr8 story. Sometimes forgiving ones’ self is a monumental task. Breaking patterns of self-hatred take more than a little bit internal tenacity. Tina will ultimately have to let Bette help her through the guilt and pain. And even Theresa will have to let Bette show her kindness.

      Looking forward to more chapters!

    5. I remember this story and i am glad you have almost written all the chapters and yes i would love to read a sequel!
