The Most Distant Course

“Everyone like Mcdonald.”
“Oh no, you don’t, Bette, don’t you dare use that pouty baby face.”
She had that adorable pout that could always make me agree with anything she says, and Noah basically printed out the same face just like her mother. Two pouty faces, two puppy dogs eyes…I was surprised at myself for holding my standpoint for so long.
“Please, Mama T,” Noah pouted even more. “Just for one day, mama B promise she’ll behave well, right, mama B?”
“Yeah, T, and I wouldn’t burn the stove if I wasn’t making you breakfast.”
Hold on, she’s blaming my breakfast for it, now?
“Nope, I say no is no.” I closed my eyes and leaned back to the bed.
“Please.” “Please.”
The mother and the son said simultaneously, I knew I was never going to win this.
“Fine, but you better…”
Suddenly a huge pain struck my body, it was like my entire muscles were being torn apart, the baby inside was trying to get out.
But it was impossible, he was only two months of being conceived.
Then there was again like someone punched me hard on my chest, I could feel the electric blade spread all over my body and cutting my flesh, somehow it felt nice, I was so tired and needed some rest, this brought me some energy.
“Mama?”
I turned around, saw that Noah was looking at me in concern, and Bette, my wife suddenly disappeared, where was she? Why was I floating?
“Mama, you need to wake up…”
I frowned, I was awake, what did he mean?
“Mama, you have to open your eyes.”:
My son’s voice was no longer happy and delight, when he told me to open my eyes, I could sense that he’s been crying for a long time, so much different than a few seconds ago when he asked me for Mcdonald.
But I had no idea what happened, I tried to say something, but that electrical thing paralyzed my throat, I could barely say a word.
I was like floating in the air, my body was so light, my whole body felt at ease, no side effect of the medicine, no sickness feeling, not even cold anymore.
“T…”
Bette voice also appeared next to me, I turned my head and saw my wife…Her brown pupils looked directly at me, her mocha skin was so delicate, her curly dark hair was long and astonishing.

Hi CJ,
What a incredible good chapter!
At first i thought you skipped the part about Tina’s life in danger and moved fast forward to their future. And oh what a beautiful dream Tina had when she was fighting for her life. That is certainly a part i want to read more about! The interaction and pouting between Bette & Tina and Noah warmed my heart and made me laugh!
It was a well calculated risk Tina took, but at the end she is the absolute winner!!!
I hope to read what happened with Faye Buckley and Aaron Kornblunth and of course what happened with Candace.
I am a little sad that there will be only three chapters more on this incredible story!
Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent as writer and this story!
Hi CJ:
Great chapter, that was very sweet, like Bibi, I thought that you skipped a whole chapter but then I realized about the wonderful dream of Tina.
Yes, it was hard but Tima made it, now we want to learn what happened with the evil people what about Buckley, Aaron, Candace.
I would like to see how the legal situation of Tina will be fixed.
And of course the happy ending.
Wonderful story, my friend.
Thanks and pps.

Love it…after three weeks some of Tina’s superficial wounds and bruises should have healed. The deep wounds and the broken bones probably will take a lot longer. And considering her fragile health, its a wonder she survived at all. Bette needs to heal also. Can’t wait to hear about Faye Buckley, Aaron Kornbluth, and Candace Newell. Oh and what really happened to Shane? Did Max really kill her? Surely not! Is Tina now really in the clear – free to live her life as a normal person? What will happen to Bette and her job? Maybe she will leave law enforcement and do something else? I really hope the Cooper Family chapter is now truly closed.
This is a good story….I want Tina and Bette to make a home and life together. Thankyou for the update.
Great Chapter!
You had me a bit at sea to start with but glad I persevered!
Mixed feelings about the story ending but really looking forward to your next post.
You are a talented storyteller, thanks for posting.
