    I sigh as I get in the passenger side as Bette gets in on the driver side. Bette’s POV As I start the car I look over at Tina and smile “This has been nice”. I say and she smiles at me “Yes..It has” was all she said and no other words were needed.  We

    I sigh as I get in the passenger side as Bette gets in on the driver side.

    Bette’s POV

    As I start the car I look over at Tina and smile

    “This has been nice”. I say and she smiles at me

    “Yes..It has” was all she said and no other words were needed.  We stayed in comfortable silence the rest of the car ride back to her and Henry’s home.

    Once I pulled into the driveway and put the car in park Tina grabbed my hand and squeezed it.  I slightly turned to face her

    “Thank you for today” she says slowly releasing my hand and I shake my head

    “.No…Thank you.  I feel much better about the steps we made today Tina.  And it may still be awkward but if you ever want to talk about anything I’ll be here for you”

    At that moment Tina grabbed me and pulled me into a hug and I melted into it.   

    “You don’t know how happy I am to hear you say that. And I will always be here for you.  I’m so sorry Bette”

    I push back out of the hug to look into her eyes

    “No more sorry’s ok.  We both have forgiven each other and it’s time to move forward. The past is the past. Today we took one step forward in building a friendship”. I say and it confirms for me even more that I need to be back here in L.A.

    She nods and sighs “You’re right.  Well I guess I better let you go. Let me kiss Angie first.  I can’t believe she has been out this long”

    I look back at my sleeping beauty and smile “Yeah I know. Kit is going to have a hard time getting her to sleep tonight”

    “Definitely” Tina nods and opens the door going to the passenger door and opening it.

    “Goodbye my baby.  Mama will see you soon”. she says kissing Angie sweetly on top of her head.  Angie doesn’t stir as Tina shuts  the door and waves at me before walking to her front door and opens it.  She waves one last time before closing the door and I back out and head back toward Kit’s apartment

    1. Such level headed rational thinking by everyone – Bette, Tina, and Jodi. Wonder if Henry will respond in the same way? Jodi is going back to New York. Bette and Jodi have broken up. Tina and Bette have accepted their own roles in their break up. Time to start anew… Just as soon as Henry knows what’s going on.

      Bette and Tina had a honest talk and a breaktrough, they can finally move on and the best step is to build their friendship first before they can move forward into a relationship.

      Amical end of the relationship between Bette and Jodi, good that they had the talk and were honest. Have a good flight back to NY Jodi!

      Henry, he will not be amused and probably not response that well when Tina breaks up with him.
