Chapter 39 – Moving Weekend
Jim: Okay, are you ready to take a break and talk to me?
Bette: Yeah, How about some water?
Jim: I noticed that you had a few occasional tables. I have placed them for the time being. But they are subject to change. First, I love your furniture. It is going to blend in perfectly with the pieces which I have in mind for your home. Now, first, let me ask you how you feel about the patio furnishing?
Tina: Oh, I love them. They are beautiful and they are well place and they are comfortable and I think they reflect us.
Jim: Now is there anything that I have purchased that you simply do not like at all?
Bette: No, not really. I am not overwhelmed with the sun room, but I haven’t had much opportunity to actually use it. We have yet to have a meal here where we actually used it. It’s nice and comfortable seating. I like the color, but it’s a little sedate. But I’m not sure that is a bad thing. I don’t want to have to wear sunglasses to the breakfast table because the colors are so bright and bold. I then to want to live with it for a while before making a change.
Jim: Let’s talk about the dining room. I love your table. But I think you have room for another table that size with another dozen chairs. That way you can have a table to seat twenty-four or two tables of twelve. I think your buffets and china cabinets are fine. We might get another buffet. If you have a large Thanksgiving dinner, you can have all your food on the buffet and then sit at the table. But if you were to get another table, I would want to match it as closely as possible and also have all the chairs covered in the same fabric. And if there were any difference in the chairs, I would like you to arrange them where every other chair is a new one and every other one is from your original set. Of course, I don’t know how often you will have a dinner where you have 15 to 24 people to serve.
Tina: Do you think you can match the table and the chairs?
