    The Most Distant Course

A happy and genuine smile immediately lights up on her face as soon as she sees who the person is.

Bette Porter lies on the table, obviously very tired, her eyes are puffy and red, surely she’s been crying for days, her curly hair is messy, clothes unironed, god knows how many days she’s being unconscious, the brunette must be worried as hell and couldn’t sleep for days.

Tina trying to say out Bette’s name, but the thing that comes out her throat is only a weird voice, more like a groan. Again, her throat is protesting about the dryness, she could drink some water now.

Seems like the sound is loud enough to wake the exhausted Detective, Bette jumps up in a second, quickly looks around the room, wondering who just makes the noise.

    “Who is it?”

She’s already annoyed by the beeping sound, while the love of her life was lying next to the bed, all she could hear was the noise coming out from a machine instead of Tina’s soft voice. Bette knew Tina is still fighting for her own life, she knew she should be patient and had faith to wait for the day her lover woke up, but she waited and waited…there was no sign for Tina to be awake, though the announcement of the life monitor indicating that the blonde was still alive.

The doctor said due to Tina’s weak body, it will need extra time than the usual people for the blonde to awake and recover, also require extra time to open her eyes.

So Bette waited, never left her side, like the old-time…when Tina was beaten up by Sebastian Cooper. She stayed close to her, taking care of everything she needed, helped her take bath…trying not to crumble while waiting for Tina to awake.

This lasted for three weeks…until now, she has lost the energy to count, couldn’t remember when the blonde has brought to the hospital.

When the detective’s eyes meet the most beautiful hazel eyes on earth, her tears couldn’t help pour out, she has once thought herself will breakdown when she

    “Oh my god…”

Tina tries to say something, still, the only sound she makes is a weird groaning.

Bette is numb for a few seconds, but she quickly rushes next to the blonde, gently pats on the blonde’s chest to ease her down.

    1. Hi CJ,

      What a incredible good chapter!

At first i thought you skipped the part about Tina’s life in danger and moved fast forward to their future. And oh what a beautiful dream Tina had when she was fighting for her life. That is certainly a part i want to read more about! The interaction and pouting between Bette & Tina and Noah warmed my heart and made me laugh!

It was a well calculated risk Tina took, but at the end she is the absolute winner!!!

I hope to read what happened with Faye Buckley and Aaron Kornblunth and of course what happened with Candace.

I am a little sad that there will be only three chapters more on this incredible story!

Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent as writer and this story!

    2. Hi CJ:

Great chapter, that was very sweet, like Bibi, I thought that you skipped a whole chapter but then I realized about the wonderful dream of Tina.

Yes, it was hard but Tima made it, now we want to learn what happened with the evil people what about Buckley, Aaron, Candace.

I would like to see how the legal situation of Tina will be fixed.

And of course the happy ending.

      Wonderful story, my friend.

      Thanks and pps.

    3. Love it…after three weeks some of Tina’s superficial wounds and bruises should have healed. The deep wounds and the broken bones probably will take a lot longer. And considering her fragile health, its a wonder she survived at all. Bette needs to heal also. Can’t wait to hear about Faye Buckley, Aaron Kornbluth, and Candace Newell. Oh and what really happened to Shane? Did Max really kill her? Surely not! Is Tina now really in the clear – free to live her life as a normal person? What will happen to Bette and her job? Maybe she will leave law enforcement and do something else? I really hope the Cooper Family chapter is now truly closed.

This is a good story….I want Tina and Bette to make a home and life together. Thankyou for the update.

    4. Great Chapter!

You had me a bit at sea to start with but glad I persevered!

Mixed feelings about the story ending but really looking forward to your next post.

You are a talented storyteller, thanks for posting.
