    The Most Distant Course

Without a doubt, Tina picked the last one.

It was the war between her and Faye Buckley, one of them must lose, and the key to winning…Lay in how Alice could convince the lawyer Joyce… and how Joyce convinced the Governor…and last but not least…Let Helena be in charge of the investigation on the Senator.

If all these essential factors were sufficient, there was a very possible chance for Tina to win, but if one of them failed, it would be game over.

But of course, easier said than done, this was never an easy task. One wrong step or something she didn’t expect, Tina would be arrested…even worse, dead.

Bette looks at her hand where Tina just tapped on, the blonde bites her bottom lip, hoping her lover to say something.

Wiping away her tears, Bette shakes her head, chuckling.

“Shit, what am I saying…?” The Detective rubs her forehead. “What am I doing? I supposed to be happy…I’m sorry, T, I’m just…these emotions…I haven’t…”

    “I…understand…”

Bette raises her head, making sure she has heard right that it was really Tina speaking. When her eyes meet the warmest hazel eyes on earth, she almost bursts out tears again, disbelief is written on her face.

    “What?”

“I understand,” Tina says it again, even her voice is so low and deep, Bette still thinks it is the most beautiful voice she’s heard. “You’ve been holding your emotions all by yourself…Because you have to be strong in front of others.”

“You know I could marry your brain, T, how could you be so smart even when you are injured?”

Tina tries to wiggle her eyebrows, but the bandage on her forehead puts the idea out of her head.

“How are the others?” She asks.

“The gangs are so worried about you, they came every day just to make sure we are both fine, especially Kit…She cried all the way here, almost crumbled when she saw you in this way.”

    Tina chuckles. “Yeah…Kit…I’m not surprised.”

“And Alice, she freaked out, I’ve never seen her being so quiet for the entire two hours visit.”

“Damn, too bad I didn’t witness myself.” The blonde giggles.

“Dana and Lara, well…I was surprised our dear Dana Fairbanks didn’t pass out, she was so calm in the first visit, instead, it was Lara who’s crying none stop.”

    1. Hi CJ,

      What a incredible good chapter!

At first i thought you skipped the part about Tina’s life in danger and moved fast forward to their future. And oh what a beautiful dream Tina had when she was fighting for her life. That is certainly a part i want to read more about! The interaction and pouting between Bette & Tina and Noah warmed my heart and made me laugh!

It was a well calculated risk Tina took, but at the end she is the absolute winner!!!

I hope to read what happened with Faye Buckley and Aaron Kornblunth and of course what happened with Candace.

I am a little sad that there will be only three chapters more on this incredible story!

Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent as writer and this story!

    2. Hi CJ:

Great chapter, that was very sweet, like Bibi, I thought that you skipped a whole chapter but then I realized about the wonderful dream of Tina.

Yes, it was hard but Tima made it, now we want to learn what happened with the evil people what about Buckley, Aaron, Candace.

I would like to see how the legal situation of Tina will be fixed.

And of course the happy ending.

      Wonderful story, my friend.

      Thanks and pps.

    3. Love it…after three weeks some of Tina’s superficial wounds and bruises should have healed. The deep wounds and the broken bones probably will take a lot longer. And considering her fragile health, its a wonder she survived at all. Bette needs to heal also. Can’t wait to hear about Faye Buckley, Aaron Kornbluth, and Candace Newell. Oh and what really happened to Shane? Did Max really kill her? Surely not! Is Tina now really in the clear – free to live her life as a normal person? What will happen to Bette and her job? Maybe she will leave law enforcement and do something else? I really hope the Cooper Family chapter is now truly closed.

This is a good story….I want Tina and Bette to make a home and life together. Thankyou for the update.

    4. Great Chapter!

You had me a bit at sea to start with but glad I persevered!

Mixed feelings about the story ending but really looking forward to your next post.

You are a talented storyteller, thanks for posting.
