    Kit – She is! Art is her passion! Tina – Interesting … She walks around the room. She stops in front of a painting on the wall: two young girls entering a cave. Each girl is dressed in shorts, wears a hat and a jacket, carries a backpack and holds a stick. The shorter redhead

    Tina – Interesting …

    She walks around the room. She stops in front of a painting on the wall: two young girls entering a cave. Each girl is dressed in shorts, wears a hat and a jacket, carries a backpack and holds a stick. The shorter redhead walks in front. The taller brunette follows her. The painting is signed by Elizabeth Porter.

    Kit – She was still a teenager when she painted it. She and Charlie exploring the region!

    Tina – Nice! She did a very good job! (pause) Can I take a few pictures?

    Kit – Go ahead!

    She takes pictures of the room, including the corner and the view outside.

    Tina – I can see why she chose this room. The view is amazing!

    Kit – She has an eye for beauty, for sure! In more ways than one!

    The blonde looks at the covered canvas.

    Tina – Certainly a view worth painting …

    Kit – She doesn’t allow us to see her paintings until they are done!

    Tina nods disappointed.

    Kit – But do you really think that I follow orders from my baby sis?

    She pulls the cloth away.

    Tina – No, it’s not neces …

    Her eyes widen and her mouth drops when she sees the incomplete painting in front of her.  It’s an abstract figurative painting of a naked woman from her belly up in shades of white, pink and maroon. The woman is lying in bed as seen from someone positioned between her legs: the upper line of her pubic hair appearing at the bottom of the painting, her torso extended, her long black hair in disarray spread over a pillow, her face in ecstasy and one arm in the air, with the palm of her hand touching her forehead.

    Kit – Oh my …

    Tina – Wow …

    She gazes at the painting in awe.

     

    Chapter 5

    Bette’s bedroom, afternoon: The surprise makes her blush. She chuckles, unsettled by her own reaction.

    Tina – Not what I imagined …

    Kit – You don’t like it?

    Tina – Oh no! It’s … amazing! Just …

    She points to the painting of the girls in the cave.

    Tina – … a big departure from that one!

      I’m currently discovering this other story, being “orphan” from your After The Kiss *wink* and I’m already hooked !

      You have a truly cinematic eye – and I’m a huge cinema passionate. I can see Kit’s ranch and every details as if I was admiring them through Tina’s eyes and, well, to imagine Bette as a cowgirl is very sexy, I must say !
      Since I adore western movies, I cannot help but remembering the great Missy, my favorite classic actress : pretty fiery, even arrogant but mesmerizing too – our poor Tina has no chance to resist !

      Thank you so very much for this new delightful journey, my dear writer :-)

        • Yes indeed !
          Well, what can I say ? “Cowgirl” immediately makes me think about Stanwyck in one of her westerns (like The Furies, The Moonlighter or Forty Guns) – even if this marvelously versatile actress was great in every other movie genres possible *wink*
          And, well, her voice is the sexiest I have ever heared… Not a beauty but what a charm – more dangerous, the charm !

          So now that you already know two of my absolute favorite ladies, Jennifer Beals and “Missy”, I five your the last two : my first teenage crush, Vivien Leigh, and my biggest screen crush ever, Kate Winslet :-)
